Juxtaposition of Keane with wannabes elsewhere

Worst Rangers [sic]team in history?
Check.

Worst Rangers [sic]chief executive in history?
Check.

Worst Rangers [sic]fans in history?
Oh, please.  They have played their part to perfection.

Worst Rangers [sic]manager in history?
Who, Ally the Great Enabler?  No way.

Charles Green would not have any authority at Ibrox if Ally McCoist didn’t act as his enabler last year.  While every Celtic fan with a keyboard was typing “Can they really be so stupid again?” Ally was cutting a deal for almost 5% of the share capital of the company [sic].  None of this would be possible without Ally.  If you see him, buy him a pie.

The juxtaposition was pointed out to me:

19 years after John Keane stepped forward with an amount of money very precious to him..

With no guarantee it would solve our problems…

Or that he would see a penny of it again (for the record, he hasn’t, and he is unlikely to)…

A very different history played out across the city.

Today’s Herald told us the group trying to overthrow the Sevco board contains Jim McColl and that, “McColl is one of Scotland’s richest people, but he won’t spend his own money”.

The world is full of rich men who will not spend their own money.  Long may they squabble over the Ibrox debris.

Our honorary chairman, John Keane, waved to the Celtic Park crowd before letting the league flag fly high, a direct consequence of putting his money where his mouth was.

  1. I haven’t seen anyone else posting this so apologies if this has been discussed before.

This week we have seen Zombie Fc and their undead followers frothing at the mouth over ‘precedent’ in relation to Hearts not being fined £50k for going into administration.

I believe that the reason said zombies were unable to field trialists yesterday was because of differing rules in the Ramsden cup to the Football league Cup. I also believe that the rules of the SFL have been transferred over to the Championship, League 1 and League 2 in the interests of continuity.

Bear with me I’m getting to the point.

Now we are starting to hear murmourings from ‘sources’ inside Mordor that they may not have enough cash to see out the season which can only mean that administration is a possibility.

    ‘Precedent’

In 2009 Livingston went into administration whilst in SFL1 and were relegated to the bottom tier.

In 2010 Dundee went into administration whilst in SFL1 and were deducted 25 points.

A bit of wiki research shows on both occasions this was the 2nd time these clubs had suffered an insolvency event, though they both happened in the SPL and there is no evidence that I can see that shows this was taken into consideration when the SFL applied their sanctions.

The Rangers finished 24 points ahead of 2nd place Peterhead last year.

So if The Rangers go into administration this year, given the precedents they themselves demand should be upheld, what sanctions should they expect?

Hope you don’t mind me asking but what’s the monthly payment for all that?

  6. Snake Plissken on

    Pleased for Peter Capaldi.

Should make a good Doctor Who – the third Scots born actor to land the role.

If the show is sticking to its own Mythology he will be the second last Doctor as he can only regenerate 12 times and once you’ve gone into Doc 13 that means death – although the Master has managed to escape that fate on more than one occasion.

I’m sure there’s a parallel in there for Celtic and Sevco but I can’t quite articulate it right now.

  7. The Boy Jinky

I’m just wondering out loud if Sevco fans would be screaming they are a new club if the SFLs rules include enhanced punishments for a 2nd insolvency event

one game played one honest mistake and counting, biggest surprise was no penalty for the rankers, who was their ref, we demand to know, and will he be given another game for us or thems, somebody obviously hasn’t told him RULES of engagement? they even pulled plug on any live transmissions, thought it was to avoid any misunderstanding’s, or avoid controversy? What went wrong? Will normal service from MIB resume for them, because it certainly has for us!

  11. So Pep Mcoist says there will be no whitewash at ibrokes, another sure sign that Ian Black is on his way out.

My last bill was roughly £70.00 not sure how competative it is, but because I’m Virgin everything TV, Broadband, Phone and taking the quality into account especially Broadband speeds it seems to beat BT or Sky’s very best, in all the independent surveys.

Remember the sevco waltz … in out in out shake it all about :)

Although Gavin Swankie`s family favour the Ibrox Club,I don`t believe there is an Arbroath Hun bus for the father to run. I have lived here for over six years and never heard of one . The last time we played Rangers, we needed two Celtic buses but ,even for a game against us, none for the now deceased team.

Incidentally, the name “Swankie” raised a few smiles on here but, in Arbroath, it is a very common name.

That sir is a question that will maybe give some answers the zombies will claim its their 2nd and the money men will in all probabillity claim (rightly) it’s their first.

But i’m afraid questions of punishment to oldco or newco in hunland are both hypothetical and pointless as what shoul happen and what will happen are two completely different things.

EBT Ogilvie has been disgracefully left in a position that ensures that.

The more you think about Ogilve the sadder and more corrupt it seems(IMHO).

The Leeds game is the best match I’ve ever attended. Seville was unbeatable for atmosphere though. The Leeds crowd of 136505 will remain a record but yes the real figure was 150. I was at the back of the Celtic end and their were fans stuck in the passageway below for the whole game, saw nothing. I know for a fact that a gate was crashed at the Mt Florida end and another few thousand got in. Btw an older guy (I was 15) begged me to sell him my ticket, and I did so if he lifted me over, which he did. So I’m not counted either.

    Fantastic night.
