Juxtaposition of Keane with wannabes elsewhere

Worst Rangers [sic]chief executive in history?

Worst Rangers [sic]fans in history?
Oh, please.  They have played their part to perfection.

Worst Rangers [sic]manager in history?
Who, Ally the Great Enabler?  No way.

Charles Green would not have any authority at Ibrox if Ally McCoist didn’t act as his enabler last year.  While every Celtic fan with a keyboard was typing “Can they really be so stupid again?” Ally was cutting a deal for almost 5% of the share capital of the company [sic].  None of this would be possible without Ally.  If you see him, buy him a pie.

The juxtaposition was pointed out to me:

19 years after John Keane stepped forward with an amount of money very precious to him..

With no guarantee it would solve our problems…

Or that he would see a penny of it again (for the record, he hasn’t, and he is unlikely to)…

A very different history played out across the city.

Today’s Herald told us the group trying to overthrow the Sevco board contains Jim McColl and that, “McColl is one of Scotland’s richest people, but he won’t spend his own money”.

The world is full of rich men who will not spend their own money.  Long may they squabble over the Ibrox debris.

Our honorary chairman, John Keane, waved to the Celtic Park crowd before letting the league flag fly high, a direct consequence of putting his money where his mouth was.

I was in Sydney watching the game in the local CSC – an amazing morning. Some of the MON and the WGS nights were great but those old Jungle Nights- like Ujpest when Jinky came on and I thought the roof was coming off were the best. just

Billy’s goal against Vojvodina was the goal that won the Cup.They were a right good team.

  9. When you view the seating plan for the spivco v Newcastle game on Tuesday 3 of the upper tier sections tickets are unavailable for sale at the game, which suggests that 3 sections of a large part of the ground is unsafe for the public

Leeds, Fiorentina and Basel/Basle. Nights which my life would have been poorer without. The derby matches and some of the games with Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen and one v the Arabs in 79 ( Lynch penalty late on) were special as well.

My dad was at the real biggies – Vojvodina and Dukla. Leave anything I saw standing I believe. The other game I wish I’d been in Paradise for was the 3-1 game v Rangers in 67 when Johansen missed the penalty.

Yes, Vojvodina were the best team we faced. Simpson had two great saves before big McNeill scored.

  14. Jimbo67

My dad was at them as well .

Vojvodina game , his mate just opened a half bottle when Caesar scored.

    Went whooooooosh!!!

Mind him telling me about the Deidco game you refer to.

He was gubbed with a real heavy cold, feeling lousy and swithered about giving the game a miss. Anyway, struggled to Paradise and swears when he left he never had so much as a sniffle!!

Is the new Dr Who a tim??

    Very much so.

Someone mentioned earlier that a couple of days ago there was a post on CQN saying that he was to become the new Dr.Who.

It was in reply to one from me in which I mentioned that I had just watched the four episodes from The Crow Road, a programme that was shown a few years ago with Peter in it, and then I watched the film In The Loop in which Peter starred as Malcolm Tucker, a mad Scots political spin doctor, based on Alastair Campbell I believe.

I don’t think I’ve laughed so much in a long time.

There quite a funny scene in the film (one of many!) with him and James Gandolfini in it.

I would have thought that the issuing of a licence would cover the whole ground.

Imagine if there were high winds and part of the roof blew off and injured someone, there would be hell to pay.

The Oldco game 67..my da left at 0-1 and penalty to huns. Came home and told me not to watch the highlights on telly as we got beat. I watched anyway, not having a clue the pen got missed and went on to win 3-1. My old man still talks about it…fantastic memory.

  18. It all makes sense now.

Dr Who is a Tim. He obviously went back in time, appointed McCoist, brought in Craig white and Charlie Green.

Also, Charlotte Fakeovers must be the ginger Scottish assistant.

Given the League Cup results yesterday, I hope Lenny has caught up with PL to keep a check on the views of any consultants.

As we all know, their comments can shift the balance of power in favour of a part-time club versus full-timers. God only knows what havoc they might reek in the Champions League qualifiers.
