Manager not to blame .some of lennys team need to be punted. poor performance all round, dont think we can beat them next week, but i will be there, very down to night.

Never thought I would say this Paul67 but, for the first time in 10yrs, it may be time to abandon CQN. You created something amazing, attracted fascinating contributors and we enjoyed lively debate. But we seem to be surrounded now by cynical depressives.
Thanks for an amazing Tim Space but sorry that the punters failed to match your ambition.
I am sufficiently experienced to recognise that I will be seen as a flouncing hun but that says more about the CQN rump that it does about you Paul67.

Proud of you son, wish you better supporters.

Hello, zombie troll…..hahahahaha …. Away backunder your lid

Lawwell’s deliberate downscaling of CFC shows up. Legia are a Derby or Notts Forest at best. Thats how far we’ve dropped.
If I thought for a minute its all to cater for the return of deid team I’d crack up.
Utrecht II as someone pointed out at HT.
The biggest club in the world with the smallest ambitiion. No doubt about it.
Our team full of internationals routinely look terrified to play a forward pass, as if they already sense it will result in a bad touch and loss of possession, so it goes sideways, and backwards, until eventually FF has to blooter it up the park!
How come we play these guys on a fraction of the wages we pay, who can pass and move at pace??

Deila had them playing far too open . Keep it tight and compact in Europe away from home. Lennons teams in europe may have been poor to watch but rarely suffered humiliating defeats. You could have drove a bus through the midfield. Horribly open. As for that last goal, all Lustig has to do is track a simple back post run. Rank amateur defending.
I will be there at Murrayfield, will the team turn up?
WeefratheTim on
Hahahaha, where were all you mob when rankers were winning 9 in a row, nowhere, you are all fair weather fans. I was there supporting my team just as I will continue supporting them. Celtic don’t need you nor want you. KTF the REAL Supporters. Goodnight.

Dear oh dear
Say what you will of the manager I’m afraid all the normal issues beat us tonight.Efe unable to play the simplest ball without finding an opponent. Mulgrew slower than an oil taker on the turn. Chris Commons found out again slow to turn and no pace. Pukki missing a gilt edged chance to put us 2-1 ahead .Then we had Lustig not up to speed after his injury and the rest with the exception of Virgil allowing themselves to be dominated by players who clearly were up for it. In hindsight giving this lot a rest at the weekend was no benefit.
Yes the manager has to look at himself but at this point I’d be looking to keep Vvd and Ff and selling the rest.

Hard to disagree with some of the comments on here tonight … but the thing is I think players like VVD, Lustig, Biton, Ronnie, are all good players …. for some reason, as a team, they are less then the sum of their parts …..
I still think RD will turn out to be a good coach …. tonight was maybe just a bit too soon for him.
Just another tim on
A 3-0 Karagandyesque comeback is not outwith the realms of possibilities bhoys. It is only half time in this tie. Granted we are going to need a much better performance than the one against Karagandy but we are still in this tie.
Still completely gutted about that performance though.
We are what we are because we are a tiny country with with a population of 5.1m who for 30 years had a reasonable chance to compete with the bigger boys. But in the last 20 years we are being left further and further behind the big leagues and even moderate leagues like the Polish one.
But that will not stop many on here fuelling the big league inflation by subscribing to Sky.
Why anyone is surprised at tonight is a mystery.

SFTB unless we as a support face the fact our board are destroying us as a football club and saving up for some reason and unless we act upon it we are to blame.

It’s incredible Pukki starts up front ahead of top scorers Stokes and Griffiths. It’s incredible new guy who couldn’t get even a sub appearance for Cardiff gets a start.
It’s also incredible some saying we are not at CL level anyway, doesn’t matter if we are or not, the CL provides much needed excitement in our season and financial rewards we couldn’t otherwise dream of in Scotland.

That result tonight was going to happen at some point but was hoping it would come against slightly better opposition than Legia. It was obvious, as you can’t play open football with players with such limited ability. No investment in the playing staff is not his fault but no doubt tonight showed how clueless our new manager is.
Humbled by no better than average side and barring a miracle we’re out!
The only way forward that I can see is to allow the manager to start rebuilding a team in the image he wants them to play because the team on the park tonight surely did not know what they were supposed to do.Legia closed down Celtic all over the park that was supposed to be our plan Rony said when he arrived he was not in favour of the big long punt from the goal keeper up the park he wanted to play the ball out from the back but all night big Fraser punted the ball up the park and most of the time a Legia player won the ball.As I said earlier we must play for our pride next week at Murrayfield I dont think we will go through but I want to see us at least win the game. Truly awful, however no surprise. Massive downsizing for all to see. Bet we still do ten in a row but as far as Europe goes…
If Legia had converted their 2 penalties 6 -1! and Ronny would have been sacked
Love the CELTIC
MONEYBALL = Embarrassment
MWD says AYE
What a shit day.
Calling for Ronny’s head is utter madness.
We need investment. Good players will join us.
Congratulations to the Poles. You haven’t won the tie yet though.

He ‘split up’ the core of the team …. Not good judgment
Good timgreen see ya
Just another Tim: but we have no creativity in the middle or a out and out poacher in tight situations ….. Legia will sit in and hit on the break
Will Tony Watt be pontificating about mr deilas professionalism, knowledge and attitude tonight ??
Their support we awesome!!!!
Watched it in Delaney’s Irish bar Brugge.
I was the only Celtic fan in a pub of 70 or 80 people….tells you something.
There’s nothing wrong with optimism or positivity but blind happy clapping is unhealthy for our club given what we saw tonight

My wee bud is distraught, asking will we have CL or is it her fault for having a ST. PL playing a blinder but not for us.
