Lions Roar, the last giant standing, CQN Mag is out!

824

Issue 16 of CQN Magazine is out today and (in my never humble opinion) is our best yet.  We are right up to date, with coverage of the Scottish Cup final.  Phil Mac Giolla Bhain gives historical perspective on Celtic’s position as the last apex in the game.

You’ve ready plenty of great stories of how people got their tickets Seville and we bring you a very Celtic story on how one man got his.  Did you notice we’ve mentioned Willie Wallace a bit recently?  Some of the reasons why are covered by two of Scotland’s best writers, Brogan Hogan and Archie MacPherson, excerpts of their contributions to Heart of a Lion are here for you.

There are lots more great articles….. including our cover theme, The Lions Roar Again Event.  The remaining Lisbon Lions are back at Celtic Park for a Q&A and Lisbon film show, in aid of 1254125.  The first event was one of those special Celtic occasions, if you missed it, make sure you get along this time.

Opportunities like this don’t come along often.  Book your tickets for the event here, bring the family.

DON’T TRY TO READ THE MAGAZINE FROM THE GRAPHC BELOW, that is just a teaser.  For a proper read, go here.  Use the navigation buttons at the bottom to flick through pages or zoom in.

H/Tim – it’s not what it used to be, for better or worse.

In the ole days the self policin’ may have been more Dixon of Dock Green than the Shield but I think standards of behaviour have slipped a bit; and it has driven off more than a few excellent CQNers.

You and I of course remain perfect gentlemen ;/)

  2. Well, If I don’t do anything for the rest of my life…I’ll always be able to tell the grand children(and they are Grand) that I was on the – Celtic Quick News – and spoke to some of the folk who were instrumental in getting the huns out the League and, exterminated :)

I have to go away from the computer now or the young yins will be covered in cobwebs waiting for me to finish typing :))

    Bye, bye – HH

Was in Woolongong on a trip to see relatives recently.

A truly beautiful area, mile and miles of beaches and picnic areas. within a train ride to Sydney.

Were I younger, I would move immediately.

And similar stretches of coastline delights north of Sydney too. No wonder it takes us oldies ages to drive between cities when there are such distractions up and down the track. No rush required tho…. :-)

Almost one hour and not one comment about your post.

If Peter Lawell leaves Celtic it will be a sad day for me.

He is doing a very good job.

Just shows that most fans don’t call about the men in suits as long as we have a winning team on the park , that brings home the trophies.

    I hope he doesn’t go.

Friday afternoon. Mid session break at the Bilderberg doo. The chat in the bar turns to the most vexing issues of the day.

    Kissinger: Emdy know Charlotte Fakes?

Clinton: Really? No way! I got the full Meg Ryan treatment.

Is this likely to be genuine?

    ===

No the Ghuy sells lots of Celtic related kit on Ebay all 100% geniune, expensive, and i assume he must get the kit straight from CP given the rarity and condition of the kit he sells. He is listing the shirt as a one off ‘fake’ from the far East.

*correct, my nephew bought a similar one in Singapore as he thought it a riot.

I spoke to SFTB briefly last night and was genuinely saddened that he remains stoic in his desire to have a sabbatical from these pages, and that, as a consequence of the narrow mindedness of others.

Re your gentlemen comment, I think we both know there’s only one of us who could be given that particular medal to wear….and it ain’t me!

  12. TinyTim

I have to admit, that I missed the comment, like yourself I hope Peter stays, he is doing fine here. He has made mistakes in the past but overall I feel he is good for Celtic. If the rumour is true, it speaks volumes for him that it is Man United who are in for him, they are up near Celtic in Global status but play in the hyped League.

If he did move, I would wonder if it is a new Orc driven agenda.

I received an article last night written by SFTB for the current edition of CQN Magazine.

It was too late to include in the issue and our designer is away enjoying the sunshine at the RockNess festival but I intend to add it to the new edition on Monday.

  17. i believe everyone involved with rangers currently are glorified asset strippers

they saw a club in trouble and and swooped in for the kill

like all the vultures involved with portsmouth over the years

i would say that its morally wrong only for the institution involved is rangers, a bigoted, poisoned sectarian club

these asset strippers will either finish off the club or leave it division 3 material for generation

and who said vulture capitalist asset stripper are all bad

in this case, men i salute ye

the stuff on charlotte fakeover proves this theory

    Dontbratt,

Kilmarnock played in those hoops in the 50s / 60s.

One of the few fixtures which necessitated a change of strip.

*as did Morton, in fact I think they still do.

In fact the huns also had a hooped top before us but I believe it was more like the spiders one.

Bilderberg: Friday plenary session. Late Day Motion proposed as follows:

“That this group, cognisant of our general responsibilities towards society as a whole, being mindful of our duty to address inequalities wherever they arise, and noting concerns raised as regards transparent specificity in recent competitive outcomes, should take formal steps to bring about a more level playing field, and particularly, act decisively and in earliest course to impress upon the Committee our desire to realise an expedient diminution of the handicap of BlantyreKev to a more representative level ahead of the annual CQN Open at Aberdour next week.”

    Motion: Passed Unanimously
