CELTIC-BOUND Luis Palma has been sent best wishes by his Aris Thessaloniki boss as he prepares to join the champions in a £4million switch.
The Honduran international winger, 23, will undergo the formality of a medical before signing a five-year deal with the Hoops.
Palma will become the Parkhead side’s seventh signing of the summer with more to follow before the midnight deadline at the end of the week.
The six times-capped forward scored 13 goals in 36 matches across all competitions to come onto Celtic’s radar. He has claimed a double in three outings this term.
ON HIS WAY…Honduran winger Luis Palma will join the champions this week.
Greek gaffer Apostolos Terzis, speaking in a report in the Scottish Sun, said: “I want to wish Luis the best of luck with his new club, Celtic.
“He worked so hard for our team and Aris also helped him a lot to develop.
”Luis has been involved in almost every goal we have scored so far this season, so, of course, he will be a big loss.”
Palma will be last season’s treble winners’ seventh signing in this window.
The Hoops’ six recruits so far have been Marco Tilio (£2m), Odin Holm (£2.25m), Yang Hyun-jun (£2.1m), Kwon Hyeon-kyu (£850,000), Maik Nawrocki (£4.3m) and Gustaf Lagerbiekle (£3m).
Expect some feverish transfer activity in the east end of Glasgow over the next few days.
