CELTIC’S Champions League play-off rivals Malmo warmed up for Wednesday’s first leg clash in Glasgow with a 2-0 win over Gefle.
The Swedish champions face Ronny Deila’s side for a place in the group stages of Europe’s elite club competition and look to be in good shape on the basis of this result.
Vladimir Rodic opened the scoring for Malmo – who currently occupy fourth place in the Swedish Allsvenskan – against Gefle with a goal just after the half-hour mark.
And the hosts doubled their advantage – and secured the points – in second-half stoppage-time through Markus Rosenberg.
However, the Swedish international striker will miss the midweek match against the Hoops through suspension after picking up three yellow cards in previous fixtures.
