MALKY MACKAY today confirmed Wigan have accepted an offer from Chicago Fire for Shaun Maloney.
The 31-year-old Scotland midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been linked with the MLS outfit during this month’s transfer window.
A deal moved a step closer after terms between the clubs were agreed.
Maloney, who joined the Latics from Celtic for £1million in August 2011, is expected to leave the Championship club within the next 48 hours.
And ex-Hoops defender Mackay also revealed four Premier League clubs, including West Brom and Hull, are interested in signing Callum McManaman, who was on Ronny Deila’s radar in the summer.
