Half the battle when it comes to PR is not to score an own goal, which Neil Lennon managed to do in his pre-match press conference today when asked about the local ‘tradition’ of ritualistic animal slaughter before the game. “You have to respect the traditions in Kazakhstan, they have a different culture. We have our traditions.
“Our scouts watched Shakhter’s game against Astana on Friday. We know the played a weakened team.
“We arrived early to adapt to the weather condition. The journey went well.
“Tomorrow we play against a strong team. It’s important to get a good result in the first game to increase our chances of reaching the Champions League group stage.”
Really looking forward to this one now.

Colour Bind Sevco
Black’s in the red so he’s all a flutter ,
As white and green give fans the blues,
Sally’s not yellow and talks a good fight,
No longer the brown nose who licks wide boy charlie’s shoes,
When deeds are discussed, grey areas abound,
Such a rainbow of colours, yet still far from gay,
The good ship sevco sinks slowly to the murky brown depths of ‘it’s all over’ bay!

I hope he goes with sammi and balde tonight..
JL, KC, BK and SB the others. .
Defence not so sure yet would be inclided to leave izzie out if they are going to fire high balls in tonight.
@ASonOfDan
No. It’s either Stokes or Sammy up top on their own. Watt might be the more likely sub as well.
I’d really like to see Watt start as a lone striker. I think it really suits him considering his strength and mobility.
Just looking at my modified moniker.
Blinkin’ flip. It is a tad unwieldy.
Might be a new record….

Morning all
Just off to work and will only see first half today . No idea how it will go today – Shakther seem to have a mixed pedigree in terms of results and the distance/jet lag factors could matter. No idea – I just we get a good result.

Do we think Balde will start tonight?
…………………..
Yes ~ I think that’s been the plan since his performance v Liverpool

Still waiting on my tickets, paid for over the old Timternet week past Sunday. Starting to get ever so slightly concerned.
With my comment on SFA hypocrisy, I suppose I am revealing a deep-seated personal dislike of how widespread the betting industry’s involvement in football has become. Lacking objectivity, it would probably have been better for me to say nothing.
I don’t judge anyone; I am much too busy trying to improve my own faults.
timaloy29,
I hope Anthony doesn’t start tonight. Took him all of 5 minutes to obtain a yellow card against Elfsborg.

Just read in the Guardian that on the first weekend of the EPL there were only a third of players who could play for England… and they wonder why their national team is poor
Hi Celtic_First,
their involvement has spread very rapidly hasn’t it? Shirt sponsorships seem to have become dominated by that sector recently.
Outside of the many other considerations, think it’s true to say that all the big UK bookies have off-shored their operations to Gibraltar (except maybe BET365?) in order to minimise their payments to the UK taxman in recent years.
Anyway, think I might go a tenner on Sammi to score first…how about yourself? :))
HH!

And even less than a third I’d guess, if you restricted it to the top four who could realistically win it.
BBC sport Green to step down from job at Sevco and sell shares….
Bourne
Not one of the last seasons top 8 has bought an English player so far…
!!bada bing!!
Mine hasn’t come either.

I`ll bet Lenny is emphasising that an away goal is essential.
1 am K.O.
Expecting a troubled sleep.
After all these years, why does it still matter so much?
There`s a PhD in there somewhere.
IMHO the best XI tonight;
FF
ML, SM, CM, EI
JF, SB, JL, DB(if fit)/KC
KC(if DB makes it) and GS
Subs AB, AS, AM, EA etc
Ambrose a total liability and lacks concentration for such a game. CM and SM look best CB partnership. If game is too soon for Derk, play KC left
So we say a goodbye to Green again
How much do you think he’s made out of Sevco (with him to sell his remaining shares)?
Can’t see balde starting although I’d like him to start as sammi is less effective up top on his own. Think Lenny will go with Forster, lustig, izzy, moyoukolo, ambrose.. Midfield of brown, ledley, mulgrew, then sammi up top with commons and Forrest/derk either side! I would go with balde up top with sammi left and commons right. Can’t see the gaffer goin that way though!

At 35-years-old, Shunsuke Nakamura is still banging in the goals in the J-League.
The Celtic legend has claimed two goals in the past two games for Yokohama F Marinos taking his tally to six goals in 21 games this season.
Nakamura scored the second goal in a 2-0 win over Tokyo on Saturday, showing off some excellent step overs before crashing a goal into the top left hand corner.
Still got it!

Ole Chortles doesn’t do walking away, but he’ll run away, holding his nunchucks.
If Izzy is left back,I`m afraid we can expect lots of crosses from the left wing to the far post.
Challs will still be here for a while, remember he wanted £14 mil last week for his shares…
Hoops to run riot and win 3-0 bring it home Celtic. Bet on it.
