Friendly games are all about building match sharpness while hopefully avoiding injury. Celtic were given an excellent opportunity to shape up against Real Madrid last night but a suspected broken jaw to Dylan McGeouch who was knocked unconscious will set the player back several weeks.
Henrik Larsson spectacularly returned to action after a double jaw break after three weeks in 2003, scoring with a header within minutes although he walked off the field after his injury without additional complications. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and hope to see him in Champions League action next month.

It wasn’t only McCann yesterday – Andy Walker was also talking as if it were the same club – hasn’t got the b*lls to tell it as it is – Rangers have and never will be in the SFL div 3 – The Rangers / Newco / Sevco – have a history of P3 – W2 – D1
On the boxing – no way did the Italian win that – thought he was lucky to be 3 points ahead going into final round -1 point at best

tully57,
Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourholidayin Donegal and Derry.
I think that last Wednesday was one of the best AGMs to date.
You and your much, much younger cousin, added greatly to the craic.

You are right in pointing out what sort of ‘people’ we are dealing with here: the dregs of a society that they have shamed for over a century! The ‘songs’ that were sung yesterday is just the latest chapter in a never ending saga of hate and bile directed at anyone and everyone who is not one of ‘them’!
Walked the missus to the shops today with the dogs. As I stood waiting there was one of thems with a tatty looking strip on and a Union Jack cap and an American Bulldog…I took think he was a member of Mensa…but you know that way they stare and growl…two minutes later three gormless and aimless looking thugs with the Sevco gear on and no doubt seeking out trouble…don’t know if they were bevvied or whatever else but thankfully once they clocked the Doberman they somehow instantaneously lost all interest in violence…but they started trying to get a rise out of a couple of poor guys doing road works ( having to work on a Sunday is bad enough- but then getting harassed off some bams) but they didn’t take the bait. You could just tell they were up to no good…a dark sinister mood chocked the air when they walked by with their ned swaggers…that’s quite a few of these hooligans I’ve seen recently wearing their Sevco gear- they seem to be getting more daring and ballsy in their demeanor since they went down to the Third Division, as though over-compensating for something…and the crowds at these games are becoming more bold in their two-fingers to the authorities as well.
PS
What is it with Orcs and manky bed sheets…every game you see them play in there is an old bed sheet with some crayon graffiti on it.

Saen Dillon?
Decent player but no more but he isn’t an orthodox centre back and he’d be cup tied for Europe so it would make no sense. Cannot see that being anytihng other than a rumour.
Ian Black for Scotland? Deary me.
Levein wouldn’t pick Wallace as he was in Div 3 but will pick a wee sneaky thug like Black?
I can see another successful Scotland campaign ahead in the coming months – I predict that Scotland will finish bottom of that group (very possible).
Tell you one thing, I won’t be supporting a Scotland team with Ian Black in it ……. He is, quite simply, a hooligan …….

As I’ve probably previously pointed out I really miss N90’s comments on this great site
How he can stay away is beyond me but best wishes to him and his family..

CQN fantasy league :- fantasy.premierleague.com
To all those who played last year, its a simple 5 minute job to re-register and set up your team, most of you will have probably forgotten your passwords so just type in your email and a recovery password will be sent to you.
New players just register normally, will take no longer than ten minutes.
To join the league the code is :- 721106-181775
Enjoy :0)

Do you know why N90 left? I know that he is responsible for my love of CQN.
To be honest, I haven’t supported Scotland since the days of Jimmy Johnston, the best striker in the World, being repeatedly overlooked ……..Pathetically disgusting
For those criticising Tanner, Walker ,etc.
They are spouting what SKY want us to hear.
SKY want The Old Firm rivalry to continue.
This is where the largest audiences are.
Every SKY employee will be briefed to espouse.
Meet the new Rangers ,same as the old Rangers.

Some of us never seem to get the picture.
If we truly would like to see guys like Black or Elbows suffering serious injury, then we are no better than they are.
Leave these sad souls, & those who would justify their behaviour, to their inevitable & well earned retribution.
As a man lives, so shall he die.
We are NOT them.
They are NOT us.
My mate works on the trains and now and again he’s confronted by Scotland’s shame. Last week he was working on the Wemyss Bay – Glasgow route. On the way back to Glasgow, around Greenock, he was approached by American tourists who complained about the abuse two nuns were getting from some drunks. He intervened but was also given abuse and as is procedure, he reported it to his driver who called the transport police. Dont know what the outcome was but they probably got away with it. Its just typical of this cesspit of a country.
While I have no time for McCann who played for thon deid team, I feel sorry for his family who have to live with the utter humiliation he continues to heap on them in order to make his way in Scottish “sports journalism”. My sincere apologies to any of them who may come on to this blog, if that sounds trite.

Aye, it is ‘possibly’ humbling. Things have changed since I went with my brothers – but the simplicity remains. Our camping is ‘modern’ enough to tempt both my wife and me nearly 11 year old. But when it gets down to it – French boules, a ‘Captain’s Ball’, a pack of cards and copious amounts of tea out of big plastic tumblers.
Cara knows how much I love camping, and I love that she allows me my small indulgence – although within 15 seconds of arriving back home she was re-connected to the X-Box – but I appreciate her sense of parity.
As a rule, we stop at the Green Welly stop and chow down on bacon butties, again at the Nevis Cafe in Fort William for chips and hot chocolate – then off into the wilds – the land of ‘Concrete’ Bob McAlpine’s bridges and the land of the Jacobites.
Must add – the wee chapel that everyone will know from Local Hero? Got inside it yesterday – Officially – Our Lady of the braes. Looks as if someone is going to fix it because it was close to disrepair.
Took in the Prince’s Cairn as well – his last bit of Scottish soil before his return to France.
He must have been some man (No matter what a lot of folks say about him) to have done what he did. He must have had something more about him. I, personally, remain a wee bit in awe of the young Charles.
Loads of stunning Catholic Chapels up there – an area referred to as – as wild and remote as to hinder the displacement of the Catholic of that area.
In fact – post Culloden – many clansmen became important warriors in the initial push of what was to become The British Empire – This had appeal to the British Prime Minister, Willaim Pitt, as, as he put it – not many of them would return…

Well said, sir. I hope you will forgive me for wishing a very minor calamity upon our Charlie, just to make sure he doesn’t suffer a major calamity in a stupid Scotland friendly ahead of the Helsingborgs games :-)
