McGeouch suffers in friendly test

824

Friendly games are all about building match sharpness while hopefully avoiding injury.  Celtic were given an excellent opportunity to shape up against Real Madrid last night but a suspected broken jaw to Dylan McGeouch who was knocked unconscious will set the player back several weeks.

Henrik Larsson spectacularly returned to action after a double jaw break after three weeks in 2003, scoring with a header within minutes although he walked off the field after his injury without additional complications.  We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and hope to see him in Champions League action next month.

  1. Fighting fascism is always a good thing.

The Sevcovian neddish huns are Fascists….simple. And the current crop are vomiting forth the worst mentality of psycho Loyalists from across the water who are spreading their ethos here, unchecked.

Scurrilous and wilfully shameless and deliberate ignorance by the powers that be.

You’d think they’d know better and/ or understand the implications. Or maybe they do?

Tallybhoy. In my opinion the Italian boxer was well beaten today.

I still can’t understand how the judges had him ahead after the first 2 rounds.

Obviously when they brought in other judges to review the fight the correct decision was made.

Actually I thought the British boxer could and should have won by much more if he had put a bit more effort in, but the Italian, oh dear, fought like a big coo.

    Just my opinion like. :)

You really should visit the museum on Pegasus Bridge. Lots of correspondence displayed and nearby is a little churchyard where a few who took part in the engagement are buried. Most poignantly remember an epitaph along the lines of ” To you he was just a soldier. To us he was all the world. “

Thankfully I spend 8-9 months of the year in Italy, where I am now, and the rest in ‘the best little bigoted country in the world’, so I am mostly detached from what is going on. But I know exactly what the situation is . I am old enough, and have seen and experienced plenty in my time. Even attended an RC Secondary School in Kilwinning of all places!

I agree with you that since the demise of ‘them’ their follow followers seem to have become even more vile – didn’t think that was possible, but they never cease to amaze me! Don’t be fooled by some of ‘them’ who give the impression that they are fair-minded and contrite – deep down most of them sing from the same hymn sheet: and we know the type of ‘songs’ they like to sing!

I’m sure Noel90 lurks on here and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s posting on here under another name. He was a major part of the blog during the early years.

Strongly fancied McIlroy to win the US Open – seen the 20/1 earlier in the week, got up early Thursday morning and the 20/1 was gone, best price available was 18/1.I decided to leave it alone.

Done myself out a a few quid, because of my own greed over a lousy 2 points.

Greed my friends is a curse.

Wish that i had your discipline TET.

An old man in the bookies once told me that, slow horses and fast women will put you in an early grave – probably true.

Greed combined with a lack of self-discipline will leave you skint in this gambling game. – that’s what i think.
