McGeouch suffers in friendly test

824

Friendly games are all about building match sharpness while hopefully avoiding injury.  Celtic were given an excellent opportunity to shape up against Real Madrid last night but a suspected broken jaw to Dylan McGeouch who was knocked unconscious will set the player back several weeks.

Henrik Larsson spectacularly returned to action after a double jaw break after three weeks in 2003, scoring with a header within minutes although he walked off the field after his injury without additional complications.  We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and hope to see him in Champions League action next month.

I did woner how the likes of Jamaica would figure but all I was looking at was the top 3 and in that regard thought GB would be well ahead of China and the US. Whatever their achievement particularly in terms of Golds was immense.

    Odd indeed.

Apart from that though, he is entirely wrong. They did not win the titles ‘fairly’. His brain may not be able to get round this but they did it, he did it while circumventing the rules of football and the tax laws of the land. He would not have had the team mates he had if they weren’t dodging tax and covering their tracks by not submitting details of other payments in order that those players could be paid more and so be ‘attracted’ to Ibrox.

But hey, I’m preaching to the converted here. Oh for the day a journo pulls McCann and Dodds up in public and tells them how it is. It will resemble Fr Ted telling Fr Dougal the difference between small and far away, but it should make good viewing.

  13. With this £6m guaranteed, I would expect a signing before the Helsinborgs, maybe two before the second leg especially if we get a good first leg result. Qualification for CL after that should almost certainly then bring another one or two good players before the window shuts, leaving us with about three new players, hopefully a £2m CB, £3-4m ST and maybe another CM (more likely if a Ki or Wanyama needs but we don’t need to sell unless it’s stupid money!)

That making connections link was taken from an Orc site under the heading of a corruption ‘graph’…the scary thing is they believe all that stuff yet they have not the education to to disinguish between a graph and a diagram in the form of a flow chart…monkeys and type writers come to mind…if you give the confused little soldiers a random series of images and words will always make the same connection and settle at the exact conclusion…it wiz rem fenians what done it so it wiz!

Frank Ryan’s crew were real men,and good soldiers.I believe that they were totally unaware of the wholesale slaughter that was being carried out by the Communists, and that many of them were mislead to their deaths.

O’Duffy’s merry band of Fine Gael Blueshirts for the most part, were a shower of incompetent drunks.

Franco took one look at them and thought – “Thanks, but no thanks!” and subsequently sent them to the vineyards to get drunk in the sun.

    Fair is fair.
