Miku, Lassad and Ambrose need to stretch legs

842

If you are going to Celtic Park tomorrow you will see a lot of photos like the one above.  Outside the ground 200 bucketeers will be collecting to raise money to send Oscar Knox for treatment for neauroblastoma.

Be prepared.  Bring spare cash with you, have it ready and do your bit for Oscar.

For the second week in a row we take on the team at the bottom of the table; see how that worked out last week.  After an awful August which saw Dundee’s return to the SPL marked with one point and no goals scored from four games, they picked up three points at Tynecastle before losing a lead late in the game against Motherwell last weekend.  Manager Barry Smith will have watched how St Johnstone went about their business six days ago and will believe his team can nick something at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon (and some of us) will welcome the drop in intensity from Wednesday’s Champions League tie as Celtic are likely to give game time to those who joined the club three weeks ago.  Miku, Lassad and Ambrose all need to stretch their legs.

Big shout again for the guys raising money for Celtic Youth Development through TicPick.  It’s £1 to enter and you win £1000 for predicting 10 results.  I’ve gone for Celtic to beat Dundee, West Ham to beat Sunderland, Aberdeen and Motherwell to draw, Man City to beat Arsenal, St Mirren to beat Killie, Dundee United to beat Hearts, Man Utd to beat Liverpool, Hibs to beat Inverness, Chelsea to beat Stoke and Spurs to beat QPR.

RANGERS will be included in the latest release of EA SPORTS hugely popular FIFA series.

The game’s manufacturer today confirmed that Light Blues supporters who purchase the game on its release next week will be able to play as their favourite team.

A statement said: “EA SPORTS announced today that it has reached agreement with Rangers Football Club that will ensure fans of the massive Scottish institution, with 140 years of history, will be able to play with their favourite team in FIFA 13 and future versions of the EA SPORTS FIFA videogame.”

The game is available on multiple platforms from Tuesday September 25.

    Thanks for that

Its important there is no shamrock (therefore no link to CFC, Ireland or any no matter how daft a tenuous link to paramiltaries)

Its also important the zombie has no direct link to their fans the pic looks like the zombie has been reborn as an undead RFC which of course is the club/company not a person

So all in all after seeing those pics you linked to I can only come to the conclusion this banner is not implying a person is shot by a member of the IRA (as some out there in the MSM want to make it) its a zombie club/company getting shot which metaphorically speaking is exactly what happened to RFC oldco

In fact the guy doing the shooting could be the SPL or the SFA…!

So lets see how this pans out and lets hear exactly what the offence is and what the defence will be…

Maybe someone could photoshop SPL onto the shooter and send that to the rags and SFA

Aye the tickets are like hen’s teeth unfortunately. Myself and the missus are flying back on Sat. We have one ticket between us but I’m hoping to hear some good news later on today. Missus has first claim on the ticket as the occasion has a special significance for her. I’m desperate for one though as my wee cousin Leo starts at centre half forward but if I don’t get one I’ll just be glad to be there for the craic anyhow.

    Enjoy the match.

Apparently they are not in any league format but merely in the ‘Rest of the World’ section

  7. I had the misfortune to read the DR and Dark Hateley’s blog this morning as I was stuck in a doctor’s waiting room.

This cretin will do just about anything to have a pop at us. Comparing our performance against benfica with that of sevco’s against QoS.

The only consilation I had was a rather cheesy grin when it dawned on me that he really is a hurting hurting hun.

Michael Laudrup has reason to recall this business favourably. One of the most famous instances of ‘primas a terceros’ was for the last game of the 1991-1992 league season. Barcelona pipped Real Madrid, who lost on the last day at Tenerife.

It is a matter of record that the Tenerife squad received between 15 and 25 million pesetas (something like £125,000) from a third party for winning that game. The club captain at the time, Toño, spoke about it quite openly. They had a series of offers, he said, and accepted one they thought was genuine. An anonymous gentleman met Toño outside the ground at the start of the following season and handed over the money in a plastic bag (not a suitcase). No questions asked.

Toño divided the money amongst 21 players, the kit man, the physio, the doctor and the trainer. Tenerife’s manager at the time, Jorge Valdano, had made it clear as soon as talk about a bonus from outside the club began that he wanted nothing to do with it.

    Ahahahahahaha

  13. You can be atheist and still believe in something greater than yourself.

You can be devoutly religious and believe it’s okay to kill in the name of god.

What does any of it matter. Take a look around. The world is in a complete mess, and it’s the responsibility of both secularists and believers. Cruelty abounds and it seems to know no bounds. Where is god in all of this. Where is man.

If there is a god, it’s on holiday.

And man , supposedly made in the image of this god, just devises more and more efficient ways to kill, and to take greed and cruelty to incredible levels.

Anyway, no one has mentioned agnostics…the ones in the middle of the road who get hit by traffic going both ways.

  14. If the Knox family go past their target and I am confident they will, I hope they can give themselves a decent holiday and get some rest. Their efforts , in the name of love for their wee boy have been an inspiration and have touched the heart of this old cynic.

And I am full of admiration for all the people who have helped their cause so assiduously.

Wow, never heard that before, that’s quite shocking. Like I said, I wouldn’t be surprised if such practices weren’t merely confined to the continent and those pesky foreigners.

After all with all the avarice and greed flying around the EPL at the moment it’s an environment ripe for financial corruption. And of course we all know that David Murray was a fan of dubious financial arrangements; is it really beyond the realms of possibility that what Laudrup has no problem with might have happened in Scotland in the not so distant past?

Frankly, I wouldn’t rule anything out when it comes to Dead Club.

  16. Cant believe the zombies are getting sponsered by addidas.

With the seemingly relentless rise in atheism, surely it’s only a matter of time before God stops believing in man.

The reason for bad things happening in the world is so that humanity bonds together to overcome them,if bad things didn’t happen we’d be like zombies and who in theory right mind wants a fate like that? ;)
