Mr Ogilvie, you’re going to need a bigger shredder

907

Lots of details became available yesterday but if you can drag yourself away from the most gratuitous, concentrate on the dates.

12 December 2012.

One week before the IPO.  Material information disclosed to the nomad?

21 June 2012.

Four weeks after Mr Whyte was banned from participating in Scottish football, enabling Newco to exist.

11 months before one of Mr Whyte’s collaborators is proposed as a director of Newco.

What the spivs have done to that club, assisted by the most stupid people to own keyboards and journos on-the-make, is breath-taking.  How did the idiots manage to take over?  There is a lesson for humanity here.

On a related subject:

“Craig Whyte’s involvement would be hidden from the SFA and SPL”.

Mr Ogilvie, you’re going to need a bigger shredder.

You and your organisation are being openly mocked.  What was patently obvious to anyone remotely interested in following events to their logical conclusion a year ago is now evident to all.

I have no interest in you resigning now.  All the damage which could have been done to our game due to a lack of penetrative oversight, which is your job, has been done.  Your persistence is merely confirmation that the levels of corporate governance at the SFA remain unchanged.

Fans from SPL and SFL clubs found rock among the sand to build foundations on last year.  There remains a love of our game, and our clubs, among the detritus, but we have unquestionably been failed by the custodians of our game at Hampden Park, who I am convinced, will again bury their heads in the sand.

There is no going back, no quick fix, no one can put this right.  Nothing will ever be the same again.  Accept this and move on.

Agree. I found out there are 2 more parades starting in William st and Rosehall ave at the same time all within a 1/4 mile of one another. Phone my councillor this morning asking him to call me. Not heard from him yet.

  2. Pablo why don’t Celtic buy them. Then we will have their history(their rules) . They would be even mentaler

  3. Over on RM there is a thread…..who do you prefer we sign – Daly or Clark?

    Current voting is Daly 13 ( 7%)

    Clark 160 (93%)

Now most of us have seen Daly and can make an informed judgement but how many have actually seen Nicky Clark play in the flesh or on TV? So there can only be one other reason behind the vote and we all know what that is.

If this poll alone does not wake Daly up to the sort of people he is considering joining nothing will. What a shower if bigoted morons.

    ………….

So Paul Clark, the co-administrator appointed by the Court of Session emails Green and asks him if he is the “Chosen One”.

Scuse me Paul, but that should be your decision, you know, since you are the one looking after the interests of all the creditors, large & small.

Green tells Clark that while the CVA is the preferred option, it should be terminated if it gets in the way of their (Sevco’s) plans for the fakeover.

    This stuff is all dynamite.

Sort of stuff any decent journalist should be writing about.

  7. jimmci – I reckon Nicky Clark (young, prolific goalscorer, knows the lie of the land in lower divisions) ticks more boxes for the Huns in Div 2 than Daly does. Daly is the kind of signing that didn’t work out for them this season.

Private Eye on the case again: the tangled affairs of the Worthington Group which made an unsecured loan of almost 3 million to the then Snow Whyte Rangers from a group pension fund. Financiers/Speculators – Dante would have to write of an even deeper circle for them.

Beckham: very good player perhaps not as great as his hype. Genuine enough lad.

    ___________________________________________________

He doesn’t fall into the Maradona/Pele/Best/JimmyJ category but he was a significant player. Thought that ManU restricted him a bit with their focus exclusively on crossing and passing. Beckham was always fully committed. I’d have welcomed him to CP and after a few reserve games, who knows?

  11. RalphWaldoElliso – IMO it isn’t dynamite at all actually. A deal always had to be done with Craig Whyte for his shares if the preferred route of a CVA (stop laughing at the back) was to be achieved.

If anything that email exchange probably proves that at least Paul Clark knew nothing about Whyte and Green otherwise he would have worded that differently.

I dont see this as proof of anything other than what you would expect. All consortia were trying to do a deal directly with CW for his majority shareholding for a post-CVA rosey future.

No clubs, no SPL clubs, no SFL clubs have made any comment about how the SFA have handled what is continuous dishonesty surrounding the club operating out of Ibrox. I would mention their name but I’m not sure what their name is. Do the Sfa know?

Surely someone involved in football in this country would be motivated to comment on the seismic shifts occurring in their chosen occupation. Is there no shame? Clubs should be ashamed of themselves. None have commented publicly about the work performance of the Football organisers in this country. I don’t know how any of the movers and shakers in football can show their faces in public and that includes SFA, SPL and SFL and CLUBS.

2002 WC – scored a fantastic fk against Greece in qualification, a penalty against Argentina and jumps out of a tackle which leads to Brazil scoring.

2004 EC – Andy Townsend describes him as playing like a canny veteran of 35 – he was 29 at the time.

2006 WC – a free kick against Ecuador (?) and not much more.

    Rogue Leader

I suspect that with the benefit of hindsight I might be reading too much into Clark’s email, but wasn’t it supposed to be Clark & partner’s job to appoint preferred bidder?

(more laughing at the back I know). This email implies that he wasn’t even pretending to do this.

As for the other email – Green didn’t want a CVA and yet we were told at the time that it was HMRC who knobbled the CVA. Green knew that no CVA meant a better price for his mob/Whyte, at the expense of anything at all for creditors. Green & Whyte made sure there was no CVA. That is a story that seems to have gotten lost along the way as far as I can recall.

IMO The other real story here is that unlike all the other consortia, Green was not actually bidding for Whyte’s majority shareholding at all. For a fee he and Ahmed were fronting up Whyte’s retention of control. He & Whyte & DuffnPhelps engineered the whole thing to allow Whyte to retain ownership/control, despite the SFA ban. Green’s consortium was always going to be the Chosen One, hence the sarcasm (IMO) in Clark’s email.

In all this, Whyte seems happy to have implicated himself in a fraud too. Having been sued by the SFA for unpaid fines, and watching as Green gambled that Whyte could do nothing to stop Green reneging on their deal – Whyte has now decided that the only way to survive is to release everything that implicates everyone else. The spivs at Ibrokes, the SFA, Duff N Phelps etc. Whyte is gambling that he will escape because too many others will also be guilty.

    Fraud, fraud & more fraud.
