Neil Lennon’s next decision, marquees and sunshine

456

I hope Neil Lennon takes the Hibs job. He’s a talented coach who has achieved far beyond the expected mark of a 44-year-old. After leaving Celtic two years ago he gave Bolton a temporary respite, rescuing them from immediate relegation before the inevitable happened a year later.

Bolton were on the slide and needed a miracle worker. Hibs, on the other hand, can surely only go one way. Managing a second successive failing club would be difficult to recover from. Easter Road has also allowed Alan Stubbs to enhance his managerial stock, despite not reaching the play-off final in either of his two seasons in charge.

Right now Hibs are a great opportunity for Neil.

No harm meant to Colin Kazim-Richards but the sight of him going through a medical in Brazil was welcome. He was one of a large number of players acquired over the last two seasons who never looked like a Celtic player, on paper, or on the field. It’s best for player and club he moves on.

What kind of times are these? Marquees deployed to protect scores of Celtic season ticket applicants from sunburn. Surely some parallel universe.

It’s not what you say that antagonises other posters on here. It is, rather, how you say it and the frequency and repetitiveness of your posts. There’s merit in some of the things you say but you have a knack of often lowering the mood of the blog when most people are in celebratory mood. We perhaps need to be reminded from time to time about certain things but we certainly don’t need to be lambasted time after time after time. It’s almost akin to attempted brainwashing.

Perhaps we need to develop techniques of RES12TANCE to some of your posts.

To be fair, they’re probably rushed off their feet at the moment selling season books to Old Firm fans and glory hunters.

But that’s not important right now.

What’s important is that Celtic don’t upset anyone. Well, not anyone who matters.

Still, it will be great when it happens, which it undoubtedly will.

The ads and t-shirts are down to me.

The Swiss ad got Regan talking on Res 12 within hours after three years of silence.

The T shirts will go a long way to fund the legal bill re the Res 12 guys’ submission to UEFA.

I also warned BRTH and Aulldheid of the source of reluctance at CFC but was assured agreement was reached.

Apart from that you obviously know better and have done much more so have every right to come on and criticise others.

Celtic have said on the record to supporters representatives from various sites that they will speak and they will write to Uefa.

Had they not done that I would not have done what I have been up to recently and the Res 12 guys wouldn’t have written to UEFA saying what they did.

Happy to personally refund your tenner.

    WINNING CAPTAINS

Maybe there is just a communication problem with the wider celtic support. Have the board actually written or spoken to UEFA yet?

And our thanks for your efforts. Outstanding, irrespective of the final outcome.

I honestly don’t know what the problem is seeking clarification over governance. It’s a governance we all know is biased in favour of the Brown Shirts. Home draw every round in the cup, £204,000 ‘compensation’ for charlie telfer, no need to pay outstanding fines- thats just in the last couple of years to help the Nazis financially.

We all agree this bias is there (don’t we?). What is the hold up if UEFA still haven’t been contacted by celtic? It’s on a purely technical point of governance clarification is sought.

  34. Yeah, come on, Ernie, be accurate!

Surely it’s the least you can do when the SPFL so meticulously maintains its records of its Premier competition.

Just check the archive of the season just past. There are Dundee United’s results, totaling 31 points.

But wait! The final table at the bottom of the page shows them on 28 points.

There is no asterisk next to their name to explain this.

    Is the compiler simply innumerate?

Or do they not wish to highlight the fact that United were docked 3 points for fielding an improperly ( not imperfectly, note) registered player?

Why would they not wish to be seen implementing the rules of the competition?

There were no glory hunters in the ST queue.

Where are you going to find glory in a farce?
