Issue 11 of CQN Magazine is our biggest and best yet; 100 pages of smooth as silk, green as grass, content for the Celtic community. This month we mark the club’s 125th anniversary with a look back at one of our founding fathers. We have a look at ex-Celts playing in North America, with some spectacular photos, and we have one article from a former club insider on how the media exploited his casual comment.
There’s also a look ahead at our Champions League chances………
It’s here, it’s FREE to read online, it’s stuffed full of what your community have to say. Get it while it’s hot!

times have changed, life has changed and tastes change but theres some good stuff out there. if you cant find good music, good musicians and good messages you’re either not searching, not listening or have sold out.

interesting article from the cqn header link to the scotsman
didn’t smyth preside over the glory years which ruined oldco
wasn’t he given unsustainable funds
did it ever occur to him that it wasn’t kosher or at least good for the old club
I have found myself thinking let’s leave it alone now but it’s this scant reporting and lack of judgements which I find annoying. It’s been said on cqn before but which rangers figure has come out and said this way of running the club was wrong, we need to take stock and look at how we do things !
to boot, there’s a dig at celtic at the bottom of the article
I logged off last night wishing I had some words to say to BT
BMCUWP said more than I could ever.
——————
EXCEPTIONAL special mention to BLANTYRE TIM-a man at the coalface in a country with no miners, performing a thankless task, who clearly feels the weight of responsibility for those who don’t understand the rules as well as he does.
And up against a regime which takes a great delight in making those rules up as they go along.
Well done,BT,on your successes. You can only ever have more of them by continuing to fight. I wish I had your knowledge, your perseverance.
You have near-unanimous support from your community, and its total respect.
And its best wishes…….
from me BT your efforts ensure that SOME families get to sleep at night in the knowledge that they have not been abandoned by their fellows, more power to you MO CHARA

Charles Green’s hopes of a successful The Rangers share issue are in danger after a damaging report in The Times highlights the tax issues of a key investor in the club.
The double page investigation by Special Correspondent Alex Mostrous, sub-titled ‘Secrets of the tax dodgers’, looks into the role of Richard Hughes, co-founder of Zeus Partners, and a 7% shareholder in Sevco which subsequently renamed itself as The Rangers.
Hughes is believed to be under investigation from HMRC over a £134m film investment scheme and could be in line for a significant profit if Green is successful with the share issue which hopes to raise £20m from the AIM before the turn of the year.
Green has been fiercely protective of his investors after initially claiming that he had 20 individuals each investing £1m in the new venture.
In order to gain membership of the SFA Green was required to provide details of his backers but that information was never made public.
Some information has leaked out with the Ibrox roles of Imran Ahmad and Brian Stockbridge explained with both men previously directors of Zeus Capital.
While the fresh tax investigation involves Zeus Partners and not Zeus Capital the link with Hughes, who owns 2 million Rangers shares, will cause concerns for any share issue.
Announcing his intention to have a share issue last month Green said: “For me, our share valuation of £20 to £30 million is a real opportunity for investors. I quite openly acknowledge that the real investors can get a good return but we have not chosen to force that value up.
“We have decided to leave value on the table for the next stage – when we get to the point where are we going now. There is a sensible and a realistic value there.
“Apart from the fact people will want to buy shares because they love Rangers there is also a real opportunity for future growth opportunities and for it to be a worthwhile investment.”
Morning,
Interesting assumption by Glen Gibbons about the Sevco con.
‘The Smith business, in short, suggests strongly that, in advance of the event, institutional investors are thin on the ground.’
Can we expect another world record attendance at the asbestos dome today?
No doubt inflated by another batch of free tickets!
Paupers!

The biggest scandal, and one never mentioned by the msm, is that after LeGuin, Murray and Smith decided to outspend the rest of the SPL despite sitting on a multimillion pound tax bill.
Should be a world record for a failed share issue, too.
Chunkles must be keechin’ himself. Expect a violently bigoted rant from his facial orifice to come belching forth soon in an effort to attract the vacant minded ruminants grazing on their idiocy southside of The Clyde.
Hee hee hee…..
And if Alloa win today…….
Wdh…
Stephen and gareth’s wives??
I’ve never met them but will say hello if we are in town.
Hope you’re well.
Snyde at 9 lead with the big match

yes
I worked in Alloa for 12 months, Big hello to Jessie if your watchin – but, there used to be a brewerie across the road besides the Coal Boards Store.
If that brewery is still open, I hope the fumes from it disturbs the free attackin open, clean stylistic shape of the glasgow visitors,
Betfair – Alloa 18/1, Draw 8/1.
ALLO ALLO ALLO ALLO……..ALLOA
Morning all from a bright but bitterly cold North Ayrshire.
Just read Glenn Gibbons article. Can it get any better? Certainly looks like it. Doomsday is seemingly going to be prolonged for ever and a day. This must be among the best of times for us. You couldn’t even have dared to imagine the scenario Mr Gibbons paints so well, even last season; at least, I couldn’t and I have had Paul67’s wonderful CQN to prepare me.
Just realised, the games at ibrox, hope the fumes spread far
Hamiltontim
Thank you
