At the start of the week our man in Poland sent me a link to the Croatian outlet who interviewed Nikica Jelavic. I mentioned the player in an article yesterday and recalled his earlier comments, which I referenced as background information. This ‘news’ was subsequently carried by today’s radio and print outlets in Scotland.
It’s maybe a low blow to bring out the ‘Lazy journalism’ point on the day Scotland’s formerly-largest newspaper shed journalists, although the point is perfectly illustrated, but lazy journalism always found its place in the past. The real problem has little to do with the standard of journalism on offer, it’s about business models in the old media. News doesn’t pay unless you can tax consumers or bundle it with paid-for football channels, which is not a good thing.

evening my dear friends
two questions, please…
1 – did Jabba get binned ?
2 – re the CL, is it auto-qualification to group stages this forthcoming season for the winner of the SPL – i.e. does the winner go straight into the groups ?
thanks
:)
TC
No
No
unfortunately!
Whittaker, Elbows and maybe Jelly all injured during transfer window. Co-incidence? Hmmmmm
Sorry Laffetme not Elbows. Though rumour Elbows knows he’s past it and told McMoist as much. Maybe wichful thinking on Huns part.
Partizan
Surely they would want all their players fit just now. They can’t sell, and therefore generate some much needed cash, if players are unavailable for sale?
TET
Nerr notice!!
Dont do , . ; ‘ : ! LOL

Not sure of logic of it, but if CW needs to sell could ‘injuries’ be McMoist or players way round it?

Never heard of Breaking Bad..downloading the first series as we speak though,to see if it lives up to the hype.
If its as good as Sons Of Anarchy or Dexter it’ll do me.
Re. that earlier post from the dark side. These peepel are seriously deluded, terminally stupid and unintentionally hilarious.
WTF does “metaphysically speaking” mean? I presume he means metaphorically speaking.
A little learning is a dangerous thing indeed.
Evening CQN
Been out with Smashing Milk Bottles ( and a few others ) tonight and he reckons that 31003 is a defo for Fat Bhoy Slim 3, but to date his application still stuck in the post. Good luck to Stephen Black for his trip to South Africa.
To date, we have 6 new potential entrants for FBS 3 to join the remainder of FBS2, so still not too late to join.
We promise you:
20 weeks of email nonsense
You do the work and loose the weight
We abuse you for being fat
You pay us a donation for the charity of our choice (This year it is proposed to be The Kano Foundation)
We take the credit for all the donations
And there could also be a few beer sessions!
Ghod, is that not attractive or what?
Fat Bhoy Slim 3; starts this weekend

Back on Monday from my Christmas sojourn in Stirling. As usual, vigil Mass on Christmas Eve with the missus and daughter/son in law, grandkids and and eldest son. All the old carols-brilliant. Then to the Wallace for a couple, and back over to the house to help with laying out the presents. Talking to Rangers fans in the bar and they were bricking it.No-one wanted a bet. Saw the match with a good Rangers man, with about 7 others. One was a 30 something English guy who knew his stuff—Sheff Utd fan and well versed in the game.At the end of the first half, as Gollum blew right on the 45 when Sammi was heading for goal, he looked at mine host. His first question?–“Is the referee a Ranger’s supporter?”. No prompting from me at all. He was very impressed with Sammi and Wanyama. Thought the team played good football, and would stroll their division. His opinion on the second half was that Rangers should have had three red cards for Lafferty, Healy, and Elbows. Watch the Elbows tackle on Kayal– the ball is away and McCullough has the foot that got Beram off the ground and coming late. He pointed that out. Another thing was that a woman purporting to support Celtic, and from the Republic, quoted the line that Neil Lennon was a thug. Needless to say I got tore in. She had not one shred of evidence, one statistic, or any way to make a case. My son was surprised at me blowing my top (I didn’t yell or shout, but by Jesus I chastened her). She got the Scottish papers and watched Scottish news. That was her only argument. That was one reason I nearly cheered when someone posted earlier that Traynor was getting his briefs. Him and his ilk are a big part of bombs and bullets being sent to Celtic Park, and the world would be a better place without them.
Breaking Bad is sensational! anyone seen series 5 yet? I cant find it anywhere, boy in the oub managed to get it though says its magic
ding! ding! :)

They would have to do a little soul searching to put Traynor to the sword metaphysically.
Just stuck a fiver on the Red Lichties at 16/1 for their cup tie against the cash-strapped sousiders this weekend…..and another £5 on the money-spinning draw (for the Govan mob) at 6’s.
Oh it wid be sweeeet!

As CW knows the sum total of feck all about football, would it not be past the cheeky wee chappie to have his sellable assets unsellable, I doubt the doc’s and his staff at the hun are too enamoured with wee craigie and it wouldn’t be too hard to shaft him so to speak.
Just a thought.
Mountain bhoy, season 5 of BB not out yet. Not even filmed yet!

Just watched the Vatersay Bhoys prog on Alba, recorded earlier.
Been fortunate enough to see them several times up here, tremendous band always create a great atmosphere, but absolutely loving the fact they drove their ( heartbeat style )” tour Bus” to Seville from Barra!
Great band, well worth seeing if you get the chance.
As I type, one of the band is appearing on a Gaelic cookery show, bizzare!
Are Bangura or Wanyama on African cup duties this year?
Would be great for Bangura to get games, would rather Wanyama stayed ( forever)

Ha, All this talk of great TV shows etc…

Benidorm – Johnny Vegas arguing with old Mel at the poolside and he finishes with:
“And that goes for Touche Turtle in the wheelchair”!
Brilliant

yeh
you too captain
terrific to meet up with such a fine bunch of CQN lads
the curry was at Assam’s
food was great and plenty but i used to go there a lot when it was located downstairs – it used to have a fine buzz about the place – not sure why they have moved upstairs – and indeed did not know they had done so – the high-ceiling arrangement upstairs seems to have taken away some of the intimacy
fish pakora was nice but a little hot with extra chillies in there – good big portions tho
a CQN curry night would be good
hope you and the lads enjoyed the remainder of the evening – looked like it was gonna be a good one

Just my twisted mind, but when your survival depends on things, people will do desperate things.
Not that they will help him imo, the league is ours to lose and we won’t this time, of that I no doubt at all.

Just about to put on ‘My Cousin Vinny’ one of my all time favourite funnies!!
Calton Tongues
Since it’s late, I’ll take a chance.
My favourite line from Film was in Far & Away when the ould Irish Wife tells Tom Cruise
“Sister me ar*e, S*** her and be done with it ”
On Facebook earlier, I read this “So Natasha giggs enters big brother ?? Makes a difference from err…”
