Point of order, seven players have not left Rangers

555

Point of order. Steven Davis has not decided to leave Rangers. Kyle Lafferty did not leave Rangers. Jamie Ness, Steven Whittaker, Steven Naismith, Shauny Aluko and Rhys McCabe did not leave Rangers in some insurrection of Stevens-and-friends-with-odd-names.

All have chosen to remain employees of Rangers Football Club PLC and (reportedly) objected to transfer to Sevco 5088. Loyal to the end, heroes to the jersey, despite how this is being reported elsewhere. The administrators currently managing Rangers Football Club PLC may soon issue all of the above with redundancy notices, but until then, the players will sit tight.

Sevco don’t need these guys anyway, they’ve 19 targets, several of whom have been busy at the Euros, ready to sign-on.

And how could I forget about Gattuso? We’re in trouble when that lot arrive, guys!

I hadn’t noticed the flag being upside down, although they cleared off when a few locals made their way up the mountain.

There were more there than outside Ibrox though. They do hatred far better than love.

Auld Heid – thanks for the rum tips. I’ll make a point of trying out your recommendations.

We were in Barbados last year for the wife’s 40th, so I thought I would try the local stuff. The barman on the first night said to try the rum neat and it was quite strong, but I preferred it the next night when another barman suggested the ice and plenty of lime.

  5. Having listened to 15 minutes of the DR podcast I can only assume that these guys have been abroad on holiday for the past month.

The opening salvo from Traynor regarding the Wee Tax Case and the Big Tax Case encapsulates in one minute the utter absence of a basic understanding of the situation at Ibrox pre-Craig Whyte.

Bewildering lack of understanding of the subject matter.

Is it any wonder that supporters of RFC still don’t get it when they are being fed intellectually lightweight nonsense like this?

Just a basic distinction between the two tax cases wouldn’t be too much to ask – or at least an acknowledgement that professionals with infinitely greater intellegence than these four remnants of a bygone era are at least qualified to appraise the merits of each case.

Cringeworthy in it’s ignorance of the basics despite the information being a matter of public record for almost 12 months.

I have been informed in the last 10 minutes that both Spartans FC who are a member club of the 92 affiliated to the SFA and Linlithgow Rose Junior side have challenged the SFA’s rules on the 3 year audited accounts needed by any new-co to enter any association within the senior leagues of Scotland. The only thing stopping this would be a “Sweetener” from the SFA to both clubs. However, this would be illegal. Spartans and Linlithgow Rose, and a few others I have no names for, are taking legal action against the SFA and New-Co on this matter. As this story breaks, second by second, it is hard to keep up. I am saying this as I have been told by a person affiliated highly within football. “From the horse’s mouth” was the answer I got. A court case looks likely, and this will take ANY time up the New-co has to come back in any form

I have been saying this for a good while now…

No 3 years audited accounts – no entry to Div 3

I know Spartans and Highland League teams will be pushing this case..hadn’t heard about Linlithgow Rose..

  10. Paul67 – another great article, wonder will any of the Commotions be complimenting you on this !

Anyway, a wee question. I’ve watched lots of horror movies and when you think the baddie’s deid they always seem to have one last hurrah, until they get the silver bullet or the stake in the heart.

Now all these players refusing to sign for Sevco makes me suspicious, they are still employees of Rangers PLC as you say. Could this be a plan to chase off Green to let Walter or someone else come in and pick up the pieces, saving the baddie from it’s deserved death ?

Many throw-ins nowadays are foul throws, but are rarely penalised.

The goalkeeper having 6 seconds to release the ball is also ignored.

Another rule which seems to have disappeared is OBSTRUCTION.

When did it become legal to physically hold off an opponent while making no attempt to play the ball ?

    Modern referees IS RUBBIDGE.

The Rosy Posy would be an excellent addition to the SFL – well run, decent ground, good support – 3 times Junior Cup winners in last 10 years.

Spartans also have the infrastructure to make an impact – ok ok East coast bias admitted !!

To members of Follow Follow (My decision to resign from RFFF committee)

    Hi Folks,

I am sending this email with a heavy heart and it isn’t a decision I have taken lightly. I have chosen to step down as a committee member of the RFFF. The main reason for this is I feel the support deserve better in regards to more open dialogue with Charles and I have pushed for a meeting since last Wednesday with all the RSC secretary’s to give them a chance to ask Charles and Malcolm questions therefor giving the Fan Base more Honesty and Transparency. I feel now it has went on to long and to be honest it goes against my morals. At the 1st meeting and probably my main reason for getting involved was due to the comments which were made at this meeting in regards to open and honest dialogue with the support. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best of luck going forward and if a larger meeting is arranged with the RSC’s and Groups I will be present with my group secretary.

    Best Regards

  18. Evening all

Last night I read a statement about some of the oldco players not switching to this newco. It went a little like this

” this highlights just how faithfully Paul McStay was to Celtic”

Wow that took me back a few years

I’m of an age where travelling to Glasgow from Aberdeen on a regular basis didn’t start untill they won the first of their 9 in a row.

Honestly the fondest memory’s of going to watch Celtic were right in the dark days of the Kelly board.

Knocked out of cups early & not being able to compete for 2nd in the league.

Raith Rovers game and on and on.

I had only ever watch Celtic lift trophys on t.v.

    My point is

Paul kept the dream alive for me.

And today I’m living the dream.

Forget Linfield…I hope to God we don’t get drawn against Shamrock Rovers. I will be quite conflicted.

It would have a great atmosphere at both CP and Tallaght though.

Also, the Hoops would be worn at both grounds.
