Record correct, SFA prepare to disband Appellate Panel

1122

This morning’s article in the Daily Record is not a work of fiction.  They reported that SFA chief executive Stewart Regan’s “bid to deliver a broad consensus over the way forward also involved discussions over the appellate tribunal’s transfer embargo on Rangers.”

In short, the SFA discussed changing their rules to disband the Independent Appellate Panel process before instructing Lord Carloway to sit in response to the Court of Session’s rejection of his previous judgement.

With two further Independent Judicial Tribunals still to sit in judgement on the actions of Rangers, for the illegal registration of players and non-payment of social taxes during the EBT era, the SFA will also subvert these rules before ‘Rangers’ are expelled from the Association.

After the meeting Regan left for his summer vacation without instructing Lord Carloway to convene the Appellate Panel.

That’s not all.

The scam to establish an SLP 2 in order to allow the SFA and SPL to co-opt ‘Rangers’ into that league is what the governing bodies have planned for your game.

If rules are changed AFTER a club is found guilty and in receipt of a penalty in order to nullify that penalty the game in this country is broke, ethically and financially.  Having established independent judicial panels to deal with serious rule breaches the SFA cannot do Rangers bidding without removing all judicial oversight.

We’re back to the days of George Peat walking in and out of hearings for the Celtic manager.

Most disturbingly of all, YOU are the cash cow for this outrageous enterprise.  With Rangers gone from the SPL Celtic fans bring all the commercial and television income into the game, and are set to buy more away ground tickets than all other clubs put together.

You are expected to continue to cough up for tickets to Tynecastle, Rugby Park etc, and subscribe to ESPN and Sky Sports – money which will divvied up among SPL 1 and SPL 2 teams, as well as they rest of the Scottish Football League clubs, to compensate for them missing out on a ‘Rangers’ game.

You will also pay more money for those tickets than any other group of fans in the league.  Why don’t you just write a cheque to Kilmarnock, Falkirk or Cowdenbeath today?

This nonsense will not bring another £1 into the game, all it will do is redistribute money from your pocket to clubs who care nothing for you.  Partick Thistle yesterday released a statement on their site, “We believe Scottish football needs to be restructured, financial distribution needs to be fairer for all clubs”.

“Financial distribution needs to be fairer”!  Patrick Thistle get to keep all their ticket sales, commercial and other income.  By “fairer” they mean they want some of your money.  If you agree with them, write them a cheque, but if you disagree, you better figure out what to do next.

Thoughts that some great victory has been achieved are premature.   Prepare for the next instalment.

Our domestic competition is, at best, uninspiring.  This disgusting land-grab for your cash will destroy our ability to compete in Europe, and it’s not just the senior team who will suffer.  The Celtic youth system costs millions to operate each year, don’t fantasise that it will survive intact.

Celtic currently employ 27 Scotland youth internationals.  They are almost single-handedly carrying the future of our national team.  This attempt to bleed your club dry will devastate all areas, with subsequent consequences for the Scotland team.

It’s not often I’ve told you the Daily Record have nailed a story but this one is on the money (your money).  I’m at a loss as to what to do next.

We cannot accept this.

I don’t think I can think of one player in the current Spain squad who justifies the epithet “arrogant beyond belief”. A number of their bigger stars (Iniesta, Casillas, Ramos …) have recently been tremendously humble in public.

Iniesta’s first thought upon scoring the winning goal in the World Cup Final was to dedicate the goal to Dani Jarque, a footballer from his club’s city rivals, Espanyol, who had died the previous August. When Barcelona next played away at Espanyol, the home crowd gave Iniesta a standing ovation. Imagine that in Glasgow when we had a big rival in the city.

Sergio Ramos did something similar for Antonio Puerta, his ex-Seville team-mate, who died in 2007. Ramos has asked always to get the number 15 shirt when playing for Spain because that was the number Antonio Puerta wore in his one and only international match in 2006.

Iker Casillas is a beloved son of two out-of-the-way places, Móstoles, the industrial Madrid dormitory town where he grew up, and Navalacruz, the village in Ávila that his parents come from. In January 2012, the authorities in Móstoles named a street after him and Iker said at the ribbon cutting that he was honoured but a bit embarrassed. He said: “I’m not Saint Anybody. I’m just Iker.” Previously, he had given a now famous quote, after many years as a star of the Real Madrid team: “I’m not any sort of Galáctico. I come from Móstoles.”

    tricoloured ribbon,

why should I calm down, my allegance is being questioned because I refuse to trust the people who preferred to continue the old firm partnership over the objections of the majority of the support.

I’m still waiting for our board supportes to address a single charge about the treatment of our support at the hand of the board.

refuse to address the questions and question my allegance copulate that.

  3. I would argue with “half of German team is not Germans”. All players are the products of the German football. Even Podolski and Klose who were born in Poland are products of the German football. Klose father player for first league club, his mother played for Poland in handball but he is German footballer with Polish heart. Podolski declared that wants to finish his career in Gornik Zabrze but he is German footballer with Polish heart who loves Poland. Mesut Ozil is German footballer, and so on.

I’ll be supporting Germany in fanal against Spain. Klose and Podolski in their team make my choice easy to pick up.

When I was a young fella, many years ago, my Da tried his damnest to convince me that supporting Celtic was futile, as you say the game was rigged, early 60s I am talking about, he could not understand how anyone would waste their time, energy and money supporting a team that had no chance.

When Jock came on the scene, we had many’s a discussion about how things had changed, it wont last he would tell me, how right he was, never stopped me, but sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if had listned to him.

No years of paranoia, no years of seeing our club being cheated out of trophys, no years of seeing our club being cheated out of countless millions of pounds, would I change things given the chance again, no feckin chance.

To see them’s in the gutter makes up for much, seing them suffe helps, seeing them no more is my dream.

We currently operate in two leagues of equal value to us. Scotland and Europe.

What you are saying is we must forget about competing in Europe for the time

being in order to save Scottish football? Punished yet again!

Your suggestion that being the Scottish club would be monstrous :) can easily be solved by taking Celtic out of the picture. Would we allow Scottish football to thrive even more if Celtic moved on?

  8. I wonder when first Polish descent wil play for Scotland or for Celtic? With that big Polish community living in Scotland the chance of Zamojski born in Scotland, playing for Scotland or Celtic are significant.

jeeez…..put them in their place!!! where would that be???

  11. I would have no complaints about league reconstruction just as long as a team that has never kicked a ball ever at any level was allowed to join in, that would just be absolutely ridiculous and make a mockery of the national sport.

I did put a :>))) when I said that half the team wasn’t German,

It was meant as a bit of a joke……

I watched the game tonight with a Dutchman, a Frenchman and the rest were born in Spain, and about 20% of them wanted France to win, they were Basques and Catalans.

Football and politics, what a mix.

I am scottish, born and raised, and like Salvador, am at times embarresed to be scottish.

I live in rural Spain, I have an Irish flag flying above my house, confused, you bet I am, I shoud not feel like I do, but I do.

we’ve been here before, I think the last time, we fell out was about my no holds barred gibberish, come on pal, what makes you think these moderates deserve anything less than you got :o)

Still waiting for either paddy g.. or philbhoy to address the accusations of the real issues, the Celtic board subjected the Celtic support to.

I mean its only in the last couple of years any Celtic board have vilified the support. Poilice harassment encouraged by the board is a new development IMO, All in the name of what, satisfying sectarian racists that we’ve no right to take price in our culture.

IMO they took down the flag, when they refused to challenge the european accusations of racism.

For me it is\was that profound.

Money rules, and there are too many slaves in our support.

  17. Zbyszek

That would be good. As well as the players Germany has, I can think of quite a few players that the Polish diaspora has provided to international teams:

    Andy Johnson – England

    Alex Czerniatynski – Belgium

    Tomasz Radzinski – Canada

They would all have got a game for Scotland.

  18. We currently operate in two leagues of equal value to us. Scotland and Europe.

No we don’t. We are in one league, the Scottish league. We have a patchy record, consisting mostly of absences, of membership of a misnamed Champions League. The domestic league is our only certainty.

solved by taking Celtic out of the picture. Would we allow Scottish football to thrive even more if Celtic moved on?

Moved on – where? There is NO PROSPECT WHATSOEVER of Celtic joining any other league. How hard is this to take on board?

  19. Sixteen roads to Golgotha on

All joking and carrying on aside – i think it was very gracious of Zbyszek to state that he will be supporting Germany.

Nothing but respect, that was great sportsmanship, seriously.

I know Russian who moved to Poland when 50 years old ten years ago and he is big Polish patriot. He was at the game Poland vs. Russia and wanted draw.

In my previous post I wated to say that all German players are products of their football system. Podolski would not be same player if stayed here.

P.S. I like to listen what Podolski has to say. He speaks Silesian dialekt, typical for miners from Silesia (South).

I am Scottish by birth, Irish by decent and by culture.

A confusion, maybe, but one I am comfortable with.

Both countries have faults, histories, pride, passions but what they both have is people, just that, people.

We all are much the same, our culture and experiences define our character.

Life is confusing, there are no answers, nothing definitive.

    However there is Celtic.

Well another damp squid of a match tonight roll on the Celtic preseason

Fear plays right into the hands of the Spanish team/barcelona/Madrid

I wish someone would have the balls to play my outlook on how to beat them.

You play a narrow and deep 4 at the back with another narrow and deep 4 in front of them. Stick two strikers on the shoulders of there centre backs, thus stopping full backs charging forward.

And play the big HOOF every time you get the ball. Pushing there midfield back and stretching the game.

I’m sure you could win 3-2 playing that way

The last time England beat one of the major footballing nations in the knockout stage of a major tournament was……………….1966

They will NOT be stripped of titles.

They will have no debt and have the opportunity to be back in SPL 1 in one year.

We will be raped of the income we generate , whilst the rapist spends the money that they have robbed from us.

I am sorry to say that a few like me feared and predicted that the goalposts would be moved.

I have not renewed my season tickets yet, because I feared this type of action.

Celtic MUST get out of Scottish football.

They have to engineer a way out.

    Kick the door open .

Noone is going to open it for us.
