Regan on SFA acting without fear

944

“The Scottish FA has a responsibility to all its members and must implement its rules without fear or favour”.  Stewart Regan, SFA chief executive, 24 April 2012.

What chance the SFA will be able to act without fear now?  I don’t imply they will act without favour, but do you believe SFA panellists can act without fear?  Anyone who participates in Rangers appeal process and upholds their punishment will act despite fear.

This process, one of the most important the SFA has dealt with in years, has been subverted, and that calls for a far greater sanction that any already imposed.

  1. Good evening, folks.

Been out all day. Tried to get on this morning but the site was down. Deliberate?

I heard Spiers at lunchtime. Utterly disgraceful. McCoist, he said, had incited a witchhunt but he shouldn’t be punished, because he’s a nice guy. Amazing.

Just seen Reporting Scotland. No mention of McCoist and his evil doing but his predecessor is given all the time in the world to put further pressure on the SFA to cancel their punishment (and let a new owner sort out the monies they already owe: excuse me, but I thought future owners were working on the assumption that they wouldn’t have to pay their debts). Then, who is singled out for “deserved” punishment: our manager, of course. They make me sick.

Double it up with Valencia to win tonight (evens to win over 90′): I know tonight’s game is a cup competition, but Valencia’s home record this season is formidable …

A job oppurtunity opens up for the ‘myth’ or sally as I’m sure the fast, flowing, pass and move football of Barca will fit right in with their kick as far as you can and dive for FK’s or penalties when ever you can football at the huns.

After all Joe Goebels was not a bad chap either. He would aparently take great care to avoid tramping on insects.

The above no way infers that Ally is as big a creep or liar as Dr. Joe.

  14. Just in, and I find it amazing that RFC(IA) are issuing their latest (LAST) strip.

Does anyone know if the badge is held on with velcro?

I also note that they’re advertising this strip with Jardine and next seasons oldest player holding the second biggest euro trophey. can anyone explain why they’re posing for this picture in a cupboard in the depths of their stadium

  15. Living away from scotland I’m a bit out of touch, but,…did I just hear on the news that the scottish parliament is to be given tax raising powers?

But the First Minister doesn’t mind people not paying their taxes, does he?

  16. In 125 years we have never (as far as I am aware) worn the tricolour as our strip. Yes we’ve used the colours consistently through our history but in 2 generations the custodians of our great club have never gone down this route.

And you know what? We probably never will so this debate is a bit of a mute point.

Let’s get back to laughing at the Huns please. And my apologies for starting this…

    Exploding Policy Arena?

When something happens to alter the power structure, and the various interests struggle to reposition themselves, or simply survive, the power vacuum that results. As a consequence of the vacuum, a new power structure of interest groups come to the fore.

Hope that helps. Cannot find the original post on my phone..

But you are correct, the absurd farcical comedy of errors we are witnessing, the argument

Ents between former friends. is indeed an exploding policy arena….

Utterly dumfounded that anyone would equate Celtic having a green white and orange kit with anything Rangers may do. Yes we are more intelligent and hence the vast majority can differentiate why Celtic would release a tri colour strip as opposed the Hun issuing a Union Jack strip – we would be honouring our founders and the ethos our being an inclusive club the very principals echoed by the Irish Tricolour, whereas they would merely be propagating their policy of supremacy and exclusivity. Vast vast difference

“I can’t stand him. He is not a good manager. Nobody has heard of him outside of this country so who cares what he thinks about me” – El Hadji Diouf, 26 November 2011.

  21. Final comment on the tricolour kit – our last home kit had a gold trim – hence green white and gold – stupid point i know – sorry

  22. I may have it wrong. But if we wish to honour or founders would it not involve a harp and crown?

  23. The Ian Ferguson from Barrowfield.

I know his snarling on field persona and general demeanour was eh… not at all refelected in his off field activities. He gave very freely of his time (and money) to youth work in the East End and EK REGARDLESS of denomination.

I was referring to St Andrews and St Brides when they were separate schools. Sorry for the confusion. I was talking about the 80’s and early 90’s.

  27. Oglach I think you’re wrong about both clubs reason for releasing such strips were ever to happen. For both clubs it would be because they think it would make lots of money. The fans reasons for buying it might be as you suggest. The clubs, purely commercial in my opinion.
