REVEALED: AJETI GETS THE NOD

1

NEIL LENNON will again team up Albian Ajeti with Odsonne Edouard against Motherwell at Parkhead this afternoon – despite the threat of a two-game ban looming for the Swiss international.

The Celtic boss hit back at the SFA referees panel who accused the striker of simulation when he went down after the challenge from Kilmarnock keeper Colin Doyle at Rugby Park on Tuesday.

Referee Kevin Clancy awarded a penalty-kick and Edouard duly despatched the effort into the net for the second goal in the 4-0 win. The champions will fight the charge on Monday, as CQN insisted there was no option in our report.

Ajeti scored his first goal since September – only his sixth since his £5million summer arrival from West Ham – while Edouard claimed two to hoist his tally to 16.

However, playmaker Ryan Christie is a doubt for the visit of the Fir Parkers after rolling his ankle against Killie. He was forced to come off in the 70th minute to be replaced with Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Lennon will wait until nearer the kick-off before making his decision on the Scotland international.
