BRENDAN RODGERS has NO interest in making a summer swoop for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer, according to a report.
The former Hoops boss has been linked with the towering centre-back who completed last season in the heart of the champions’ defence alongside £7million Christopher Jullien.
Ajer, who sacked his agent this week, as CQN reported, has allegedly been priced in the £20million bracket.
Rodgers was keen to take Callum McGregor to Leicester City last summer before the Scotland international midfielder agreed a lucrative extension at the nine-in-a-row title kings.
However, it appears he will not be making a bid for the Norwegian ace, despite mounting speculation.
Ajer, who still has two years to run on his Celtic contract, is not among his ex-gaffer’s targets in the summer, according to the Leicestershire Live website.
The back-four operator made 49 appearances for the Hoops during their record-equalling ninth successive championship triumph and manager Neil Lennon has already insisted he aims to keep his key players for the tilt at 10.
