CELTIC have told Leeds United they have NO chance of signing Tom Rogic this month.
The Championship side sounded out the SPFL champions to see if the Aussie midfielder would be available for a permanent move during this transfer window.
As CQN reported yesterday, Elland Road’s Scottish boss Steve Evans refused to comment on the speculation.unspecified-25
However, he has been informed he is wasting his time in pursuing the 23-year-old international who has made the first team breakthrough at Parkhead this season.
The last campaign was a write-off with Rogic struggling to overcome his recurring groin problem.
But he has made 24 appearances this time out and has also scored six goals to help the team’s cause.
Ronny Deila expects to begin contract extension talks this month with the player who was signed by Neil Lennon from Central Coast Mariners for £350,000 in January 2013.
The player is keen to extend his stay at Celtic as is James Forrest, although there is no news on the whereabouts of his agent!
