Ronny’s fuel for next four months

1674

There would have been no surprise reading Ronny Deila’s ‘heaven and hell’ season in the Celtic View.  It must have been an enthralling season for the manager but, good grief, it started with an 8.6 on the Strachan Early Season Scale.

These experiences mark us.  We’ve watched footballers and managers grow weary (another word for lazy) in the past, as their early groundwork waned during good times, but memories like Legia or Maribor will inform every decision Ronny Deila makes for the next four months.  He needs to use that ‘Never again’ month as fuel right now.

Did you sign the petition yesterday to demand the Scottish Government repeal their ill-conceived nonsense of a law which the entire country outside of Holyrood, and a few elites at Police Scotland, know is an abomination?  If not, here’s your chance.

Hard to believe that researchers have concluded that nationalism depends on emotion rather than reason reading some of the nat responses here.

    An infantile disorder indeed.

Jimmynotpaul, I try only to remember good things about our games from yonks ago lol. Other than 1995 and 1998, I don’t have many memories from the ninties, I wonder why.

I’m going to a showing of Paul Larkin’s Asterisk years a week on Friday.

Hopefully you can get a baby sitter and meet up with those fine upstanding gentleman for a few beverages. Choccy can’t drink as much as he used to. He does a lot of running about going to watch his son play for Queens Park under 17’s and isn’t in the pub as much now.

Remember losing to Hibs at Easter Road on penalties, Pearce O Leary missed the last kick.Pretty sure we went back there on the Saturday and gubbed them.

  8. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Theglasgowcelticway, I think Ferguson was given the Man Who job not long after that game and upped sticks to Old Trafford.

He had moaned earlier in the 86/87 season about players lacking loyalty to clubs. then he buggered off.

    Hazy days indeed.

    Dallas.

Choccys bhoy was on bench for first team on Sat for Q.P. It was mainly a young team that was selected because of play off last night. Nonetheless a good achievement for a 15 year old.

Theglasgowcelticway, we did indeed go to Easter Road the following Saturday and gubbed Hibs 5 nil.

Juke box Durie was playing for Hibs in that game.

Is it the ‘Think about it’ bit that you’re struggling with?

    Seriously.

    Think the scenario through.

    Try to do so objectively.

I never mentioned “think about it, you did”. Labour had a cushie, almost, total majority in Scotland. Can you tell me why I, and the majority of Scottish voters, have renaged on the Scottish and New Labour Parties. You are either Jim Murphy, and if you are, good luck trying to get a proper job tomorrow, or you are, what I really believe a rabid Tory. Goodnight.

  15. A week past on Sunday I linked my birthday, April 26th, to the 46th anniversary of our epic 4-0 doing of Deidco back in the Cup Final of 1969 in what turned out to be a vain attempt to curry favour with the birthday well-wishers.

Not one ( that’s right, lady, not one) birthday greeting on here!

I did not flounce as I feared that the wearing of a tutu may be habit-forming.

Jimmynotpaul, Choccy junior is a good player. Two pals of mine’s sons are the year above Coccy junior at school. They both say he is a very good player and has played for the school team at their age group a couple of times.

He scored for Scotland under 16’s against Poland last year.

  23. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bobby Murdoch, Pierce O’Leary indirectly played a huge part in us winning the 85 cup final.

If he hadn’t come on as sub and Roy Aitken didn’t move into midfield, we may not have won that game.

  24. For a Spanish team Sevilla are very physical. The referee is letting them get away with a lot.

  25. Would be happy to see some of our big players , Broonie , Craig Gordon etc used sparingly for the last few games . The CL qualifiers are the only games that matter now.
