CELTIC will say goodbye to John Guidetti at the end of the season.
Ronny Deila has been frustrated by the Swede’s reluctance to make his loan move from Manchester City permanent.
The Norwegian has told Guidetti he is making plans for the new campaign – and he is NOT in them. The 23-year-old had a sensational start to his Hoops career, but his form has dipped alarmingly since the turn of the year.
He has been continually linked with a return to former club Feyenoord, but it now looks as though Sporting Lisbon will meet his megabucks demand and he will be wearing the green and white hoops of the Portuguese giants instead of those of Celtic.
Deila said: “I don’t think John himself knows what he wants to do. But we are very calm about the position.
“If he wants to stay at Celtic then he needs to come to me and say he wants to do it.
“I said to John back in February the offer was being taken away now and he has to tell us if he has changed his mind.
“It’s not like I need to know because I’m making my plans, anyway. We are planning without him.”
Sporting Lisbon seem to be the current favorites to sign the Swedish striker as they have been reported to have been prepared to meet his huge wage demands.
