    A timely reminder that it takes two teams to make a game of football.

     

     

    RC content to play a defensive game and scrap for everything. Dragged the game down and were allowed to by a compliant referee. Expect more of the same next week.

     

     

    Was it just me or did we have a high number of players hit in the face by flying hands and arms?

     

     

    Still, three points and we move on.

    My sky go kept freezing up. Judging by the comments so did the team.

     

    We take the 3 points and move on.

     

    We have a break for the cup now, playing a first division opponent, let’s get that one out of the way win emphatically and move on to better things, the League and Europe.

    Just noticed this from the BBC, Ross County 5 fouls – Celtic 23 fouls.

     

    Has that ever happened in favour of the home team at Celtic Park? :-)

    Good result but Awful performance today

     

    We need to learn to keep possession and kill games like this.

     

    In last 10, Brown ,Henderson & Gordon were all guilty of losing possession.

     

    We will get away with that vs Ross County, we won’t against Inter.

     

     

    One final bit, thought referee did us a favour in not booking Guidetti for his altercation – other refs would have, particularly as both players were off the field of play.

    The ref gave 5 fouls against RC and 23 against Celtic.

     

    They make no attempt to disguise their agenda knowing the media will be complicit in the Scottish mindset to cheat Celtic.

     

    Celtic tv should air a section called interesting refereeing and highlight the ineptitude/bias of the cheats with whistles.

     

    Over the season the cry of it all evens out would be seen for the lie it is.

     

     

    Or did we just put in an agricultural performance on a ploughed field?

    Only good thing to come out of that was the 3 points. Poor “skills”, tackling and “passing” on show in the last 15 minutes. Hope we are saving it up for next week ;))

    A tough 3 points. We always struggle against teams that play a mass defence and tackle robustly. RD’s system only works if the wings are used by the full backs. Today RC boxed the full backs in when they got the ball so they were forced to move backwards and inside across the defence. A lot of the team do not like to tackle the opposition, Brown and Henderson being exceptions.

     

    I suspect that we shall see our LC opponents adopt this approach and this is a worry. How much of the physical will the ref let pass without penalising? This will be crucial, else the game will decline into a lottery let the one today.

    Been a Celtic supporter for over forty years. Unhappy with the performance certainly. 3 points – can’t be unhappy with that.

     

    Delia’s punching the air at the end surreal. When Lenny and Martin punched the air it meant something.

    Poor pitch. Ten men behind the ball. Referee giving every 50 / 50 challenge in their favour.

     

     

    Probably as frustrating a set of circumstances as any team has to play in but we were never any real danger.

     

     

    Having said all of that Guidetti looked like a fan who’s won a competition to play with professionals. Can’t see him scoring three against The Gift That Keeps On Giving as I doubt he’ll get on the pitch.

    As I said before, expect Celtic to win the league by 10+ points. Inter Milan is the crucial game. We need reinforcements.

    Tanner is a right wee naff.

     

     

    Referee gave them a foul every time we competed for the ball which explains the foul count.

     

     

    Tanner would give nyaffs a bad name.

    How can you commit that many fouls with so much possession ….impossible but for dodgy refereeing

    I was listening to radio scotland earlier when we scored and the commentator described as celtic getting off the hook.

     

     

    It’s pathetic.but so is PL and this contract stuff with commons. He is by far the most effective attacking player we have, he scores goals and adds some flair something we don’t have much of. He wants to stay.

     

     

    Celtics penny pinching is being taken to new levels this season.

     

     

    We can afford it. Get it bloody done.
