Last night my brother reminded me of a comment he made after the 0-0 against Benfica on match day one of the Champions League, “I hope we’re not sitting with one point after five games”. Expectations can be as high as you like, but reality based on experience at that stage suggested Celtic would struggle to have more than a single point at this stage of the tournament.
A solitary point away from home in our Champions League history would lead the harsh realists to expect our trips to Lisbon, Barcelona and Moscow would be fruitless, leaving the enormous matter of tackling Barcelona at Celtic Park.
Two of those away games resulted in defeat, and we were behind in Moscow before one of the most significant fight-backs in modern Celtic history. It’s difficult to find perspective for the win over Barcelona. Suffice to say, they won 0-2 in Lisbon and 0-3 in Moscow. Celtic’s 2-1 remains the most astonishing result of this season’s Champions League.
Manchester City’s failure to qualify for the knock out stage, with their seemingly limitless budget, tells the story of how difficult this tournament is. England’s other mega-wealthy club, reigning European champions Chelsea, sacked their manager this week as the expectation they are likely to be eliminated at this stage dawned.
Beating Spartak and qualifying for the knockout stage will be suitable reward for a remarkable team.

As for new gospels, utter claptrap, the Coptics are a Christian sect founded on the same teachings by apostles who travelled to Egypt to spread the message, their gospels were not new, neither are the Greek or Russian orthidox gospels, doubting Thomas travelled to India and spread the word, when the portugese got there they were stunned there was an alredy thriving Christian community, trick being like you they were arrogant and intolerant of anything that did not bend its knee to rome and slaughteres many during their education process. Those gospels may be new to you because you choose to be ignorant, but do not dare dismiss Christians who believe in the true message simply because they dont follow your narrowminded sectarian outlook, how dare you in the name of the Christ condemn Christians because they dont read the claptrap you prefer over the gospels of our Lord.

as I said all along, just google their gospels and have a flick through them they all carry the same message, the differences, are with the spurious claptrap the sects add that helps them justify whatever they want.
I’ve said a few times only the message matters, theologists are expert in the spurious claptrap thats the only reason its added, to keep them in a job and reviered.
Everyone understands the message, only theologists think anything else is important.

I read extracts of The “Secret” Book of Thomas years ago. Basic premise is that Jesus was never resurrected.

I thought thats what I said, and as I said it doesnt take a theologist to spot it, its the kind of claptrap I expect theologists to preach or spend forever discussing and dismissing, I’ve read it and dismissed it.
However I have found others that carry the pure message which are not in the new testament and that grinds my gears, I will try and remember which ones and see if I can find you a link, but as I said they are usually randomly selected, read, accepted or dismissed then move on, I dont get hung up or become stuck on wondering why they are not, I know why.
