Scott Brown not the only one worried about manager

1266

Scott Brown was not the only one was briefly worried about Neil Lennon’s position in recent months.  Neil has never particularly hidden his desire to work in England one day but when it became evident that there would be a few seats available in the English top flight, with the Everton job in particular becoming available, I am sure there were a few nervous twitches.

As and when Neil decides he is going to move on, Celtic will want to have a plan for succession in place, if not entirely executed.  In May, when Neil was fielding questions about moving on, I doubt any succession planning had taken place.  Some at the club would have been looking forward to a summer break and some player trading.  The prospect of finding a new manager, with all the inherent consequences for trading, preseason planning and Champions League qualification, would have caused mild panic.

Always be prepared.

How is your 1254125 work coming along?  Not started yet?  Today, Tom Conniffe completes his 125 mile walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal.  Go look and see how well his fundraising has gone (and get involved if you can).

the bookmaking firm i worked for was taken over by LADBROKES.their boss gathered about 10 of us in LONDON .the plan was to meet us all before we all got sacked.he tod us loads of stories about all the crooked dealings he had been involved in .he mentioned they had 2 guys from the MAFIA betting with them who never lost.they told LADBROKES that DEREK REDMOND would not win in BARCA no matter what.if he had done his ham string as written going at that speed he would have hit the deck and skidded over the line.PS HE TIPPED ME THE DERBY WINNNER THAT YEAR TRAINED BY A TALLY WALLY AND I WON 10 GRAND.

No. He is acting for people who are suing the nuns. The nuns’ acquittal has undermined his clients’ claim, hence his concern.

Do you know what all those video’s have in common, ordinary people who can’t change the world, who never dreamed they could, doing what so many that populate (and lurk on) CQN (and other Celtic minded sites) do so often in their lives, giving substance to compassion; not with words, but with their deeds.

No matter how humble the act might be… it does make a difference – in the right way.

If you have the time you might want to read the whole report, it is interesting. I have no problem with them celebrating their culture, they have every right to do so. My problem is the frequency that they demand to do it, the consequential social disruption and the cost to demographics and communities that do not share their ‘passion’. Why should Orkney and the Shetlands (for example), who have no real interest or investment, have to contribute to promote and protect sectarianism.

It is equally unfair to burden ratepayers in an active Orange area.

Not all are in support of their parades, indeed,I doubt many would be if the true cost was revealed.

Perhaps allowing locals to know that cost, followed by a local referendum on their going ahead would be fair and democratic.

I doubt they would be seen too often after that.

Only good news such as the time of buses and its availability for hire or new signings promoting season books. All negativity has been stopped or as he said when he was just on the board ” we should be keeping everything indoors” with the assistance of their puppets inthe smsm he seems to be achieving this!

  25. Morning all

Been reading the blog as I ate my healthy breakfast and as usual some fascinating observations. One though, from Petec, stood out and that is that ‘Ole Barack has never hidden the fact that he is a Muslim’. Really? He’s never hidden from me that despite some oratory skills he’s not really much of an achiever and like every other contemporary Western politician he has almost no grasp of how people outside the financial and political elites live their lives. A Muslim? I doubt it very much. A great president? I doubt it even more.

Hope you are well Petec – need to meet up soon.

Oh and watching the Stones this morning I am struck by how good the band sounds an, how many great songs they’ve had . Mind you I still think ole Mick is a bit of a prat on the QT
