You know what Dundee United really need? Scott Brown to turn up at Hampden on Sunday with a point to prove. We’ve complained for years about the way media scrutiny falls haphazardly on Celtic but God help us if we ever acquire the cosy relationship others cultivate in order to avoid the light scrutiny required to keep them healthy.
Celtic players are allowed to drink before their day off (as is the manager). Scott didn’t punch anyone, didn’t threaten anyone, didn’t drive under the influence, didn’t speak inappropriately and didn’t break club rules.
Had he not sat down this would never have been a story, even if he’d had an additional 10 drinks. ‘Scott Brown sat down’ is the story – and that’s the worst they can come up with. Paying someone £100 for a photograph and spending 30 minutes writing about it has to be the cheapest cover in publishing history. It doesn’t pass the ‘news’ test, it is celebrity gossip.
Pin it to the dressing room wall and he’ll be Man of the Match on Sunday, you can bank on it.
CQN11 St Patrick’s Dinner is tonight! Soooooooo excited. See you there.

Good to hear everyone had a great night at CQN11. I was on a nightshift myself and am just waking up to the sound of Coatbridge St Patricks day kicking off.. I’ll be strolling down for a pre cup final haircut shortly and plenty of Guinness to follow .
Will maybe see some of you there without knowing it..
GlasgowDave , glad you and Andy had a good night .. You guys worked with a right crowd of Huns when I was across the room from you.. But think me and Ritchie made up for it at the Celtic end. You know me well.
Hail Hail to all and Keep The Faith ✊

Big Dave has been out to Malawi with the Celtic Charity Foundation and is going again in October.
He is going to spend the Calendar year of 2015 raising some money for a project out there and some of the concert proceeds are going towards that.

Warm and sunny -spring is coming – way down south.
A mini bus jolly this pm – Palermo for Palermo v Rubentus. Sadly no Pirlo ( injured ) but Pogba plays and the fabulous Dybala plays. Rube will sell Pogba in the summer for huge money .Dybala is way too good for Palermo and will be way too expensive for any Serie A team.. He will sign for one of the Super rich.Fabulous player – a future superstar.
Enjoy your Saturday!
Just in…….
Unlike sipsini, I’m not just in from the dancing but rather the wee Mhan’s footie. (Made sure I wasn’t driving!)
What a night.
Thanks to Lennybhoy for his cat herding organisational skills, his constant humour and good grace….and basically being Lennybhoy!
Winning captains – many thanks to all concerned for organising such an event. And to Mrs winning captains for my lift home.
As for rest of you? Well as a great man once said That’s was so special about them right there. Just right up there; that’s what’s so special about them. They’re there and they’re always there. And God bless every one of them’

Another splendid CQN event, thanks to everyone who worked to make it happen, and the very many who turned out their pockets in support.
Pleased to report that my record of never having met a CQNer I didn’t immediately like remains intact.

Carthorses for courses in Daryl Murphy’s case- he reminded me of Tony Cascarino. We can do better and more bynamic than him. Scepovic for example, if he ever gets a game ahead of Guidetti.

Sorry, Andy, my wife’s working.
Or did I misinterpret?
BRTH,
A very positive, sad but at the same time uplifting piece on what became known as the Clydebank Blitz.
However it is also worth mentioning that over the two nights more people died in Glasgow. Offiicial figures give the stastiics as follows :- 647 dead, 1680 injured, 6.835 homes severely damaged and over 20,000 homes suffering minor damage.
I know personally one of the families who suffered a bereavement in the Peel St bombing.
I hate to be pedantic on such a terrible event, but a more accurate term would be the Clydeside blitz.
HH to you and all Celtic people.
Well what a great night CQN11 was! A fantastic evening which went far too quick!
Great to see so many faces(old and new) and finally have a beer with Patrick27, who has been in a growbag for the last couple of years! :-)

*****Last Man Standing 4-a fit and proper competition*****
LMS 4 kicks off next weekend (Saturday 21st March) and we now have our very own unique email addy!
cqnlastmanstanding@gmail.com
This is the final competition of the season and we will continue to support Shay Bhoy McGinley and his very young family, thanks to your incredible support.
The competition will cost £10 each to enter, and like in LMS3 you will be allowed to buy extra lives in rounds 1 to 3 for a similar amount.
Payout will again be 50% to the Last Man Standing and 50% to Shay Bhoy…..
…and all you have to do to is simply select a unique winning team each week from the list of fixtures provided. Dead easy :-) How can you fail not to win? :-)
So to register, you must firstly send us an email to cqnlastmanstanding@gmail.com and secondly make sure payment is made by Friday 20th March. Payment details and rules will follow on registration.
If you do not do both you will not enter the comp. Of course you will also have to select your winning team, but details will follow to you after registration.
Finally, thank you for your support and good luck in becoming the last (wo)man standing!

On the bus – No Palermo fans / no Rube fans – just 16 guys going to watch a game of fitba and ” the new Neymar ” .
My bet for tomorrow will be Scott Brown scoring then giving an extravagant arms stretched celebration.
Sandman….. Ha Ha.. Cheers Mhate….
Yon bundoran bhoy always looks like a pop star to me, what with his natty black gear (sponsored by guiness!) and his funky tattoos.
Speaking of Mr Cool types, Richie!!
Nice postcard mhate!

Well, what can I say, a truly fantastic evening at CQN 11.
Thanks to all bhoys in the BV pre evening meet up for making me feel so welcome, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you all and look forward to meeting up again many times in the years to come.
As far as the evening itself at Celtic Park is concerned, it was a triumph of organisation and planning. Well done Paul and everyone else involved, to be in the company of so many wonderful people was a complete honour.
Fantastic to catch up with a few old friends and meet so many new ones, only wish the evening had been twice as long and I had the chance to meet more.
And all for a great cause which typifies the ethos of the Celtic support.
If Celtic are more than just a club , then CQN is absolutely more than just a blog.
Jamesgang thanks (I think lol)
Great to see u again buddy. Fantastic night as usual
