Scott Brown sat down

1251

You know what Dundee United really need?  Scott Brown to turn up at Hampden on Sunday with a point to prove. We’ve complained for years about the way media scrutiny falls haphazardly on Celtic but God help us if we ever acquire the cosy relationship others cultivate in order to avoid the light scrutiny required to keep them healthy.

Celtic players are allowed to drink before their day off (as is the manager).  Scott didn’t punch anyone, didn’t threaten anyone, didn’t drive under the influence, didn’t speak inappropriately and didn’t break club rules.

Had he not sat down this would never have been a story, even if he’d had an additional 10 drinks.  ‘Scott Brown sat down’ is the story – and that’s the worst they can come up with.  Paying someone £100 for a photograph and spending 30 minutes writing about it has to be the cheapest cover in publishing history.  It doesn’t pass the ‘news’ test, it is celebrity gossip.

Pin it to the dressing room wall and he’ll be Man of the Match on Sunday, you can bank on it.

CQN11 St Patrick’s Dinner is tonight!  Soooooooo excited.  See you there.

KevJ you are alienating potential allies on here with your constant sniping.as Minx was saying try organising something yourself – Bring back the Jungle campaign or whatever.i think you would be surprised at the support it would receive.to paraphrase JFK “Ask not what Celtic can do for you, ask what you can do for Celtic” Look forward instead of backwards, people who live in the past have got no future – witnesses Sevco. Not suggesting you are a Hun. Glass half full. Hail Hail Hebcelt

  14. By the old bye, can anyone recommend a place to park over by Hampden? For years, I have parked beside my mate’s place but he has moved upmarket and flitted to Clydebank.

Nae shops mate, lunch and pub is my plan. You heard from the auld yin this morning?

  16. See me, KJ has had me thinking about the Jungle (or as I have always known it, the Hayshed). While I now sit and am much further back than when I stood at Celtic Park, I am in almost the same position as my position way back then. Except I have a far better view now. I’m wee and in the “good old days” I seldom had an uninterrupted view of the game. I for one much prefer the way things are now.

Any of the streets off Prospecthill Rd but best to get there early.

  18. Well CQN 11 showed yet again what a brilliant institution this site is.

From our newest signing Stuart Armstrong and the European Cup through to Joe Miller, John Hughes, Tommy Coyne and Tom Boyd doing Q&A plus Celtic stories from veteran raconteur Archie McPherson, the evening was a celebration of things Celtic.

Throughout the evening, the CQN family again demonstrated their warmth, humour, charity and friendship. A great pleasure and privilege to be part of the whole event and thanks again Paul67 and the ghuys who spend so much of their time making this all possible!

Big thanks to Lennybhoy for his hard work in pulling things together for us and a special thanks to 3Mick3 and Fi for putting up with me during the evening !

Now the small matter of a League Cup Final to win tomorrow ….

I am but a wee Pawn in a wonderful Celtic Family. A Bhoy who was humbled last night for many reasons. All I ever want to do in life is support Celtic, not least the Celtic Family. As hebcelt said it is all about getting up off your backside and help Celtic and the Celtic Family become better, stronger and resolute in what Brother Walfrid started. We owe him, Big Jock for what we have achieved.

It is people like you, Minx1888 and the thousands of others that make it worthwhile.

I was before last night a proud Bhoy, last night I was a proud Bhoy, I was last night a humble proud Bhoy. Today, tomorrow and until the day I depart this world be a proud Bhoy.

I am Celtic, you are Celtic, we are all Celtic.

Be proud , stand tall and let the world see and hear you.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

Well done to Wiinning Captains and Lennybhoy for all their organising last night. That takes a lot of really hard unseen work which takes ages.

Great that it was a good night and that the target for the Malawi Kitchen was reached again.

There is so much good we can do as a community at times. While we can’t contribute to every cause or cover every ILP or injustice we can, an do, make a difference in an awful lot of areas and have a bit of fun doing it.

I won’t bother defining “we” because there is no finite definition – whoever wants to contribute at any given time and at any given level for any given cause.

HH to all who organised and who took part – and HH to those who organise whatever comes next and takes part in that.

moved from 443 to 143 with the lower level peasants

Seriously was surprised in that when I bought tkt

for final got a email a day later saying a little

problem. My youngest would be 16 before final

so although I had purchased him u16 tkt by time of the

game he would not be able to use it.

    I had to upgrade.

When I called up was assured it was SFA game

    so their rules.

Celtic said if he started a season with them as u16

he would do so for the rest of season.

    I thought aye right

Tkt in this morning 15 quid for me 5 for wee man

    Good old Celtic
