You know what Dundee United really need? Scott Brown to turn up at Hampden on Sunday with a point to prove. We’ve complained for years about the way media scrutiny falls haphazardly on Celtic but God help us if we ever acquire the cosy relationship others cultivate in order to avoid the light scrutiny required to keep them healthy.
Celtic players are allowed to drink before their day off (as is the manager). Scott didn’t punch anyone, didn’t threaten anyone, didn’t drive under the influence, didn’t speak inappropriately and didn’t break club rules.
Had he not sat down this would never have been a story, even if he’d had an additional 10 drinks. ‘Scott Brown sat down’ is the story – and that’s the worst they can come up with. Paying someone £100 for a photograph and spending 30 minutes writing about it has to be the cheapest cover in publishing history. It doesn’t pass the ‘news’ test, it is celebrity gossip.
Pin it to the dressing room wall and he’ll be Man of the Match on Sunday, you can bank on it.
CQN11 St Patrick’s Dinner is tonight! Soooooooo excited. See you there.

If you are attending CQN11 tonight. Try not to have too much to drink & then decide to have a wee seat on the stairs at Parkhead. There could be an unscrupulous hack, or a CQN imposter waiting to get your picture for the front page of one of the rags, or even worse, the cover of CQN Annual. Your only saving grace is that there are no greasy chip shops (only on matchdays) or kebab joints nearby.
Have a great night.

I’m a tad fond of the Krombacher as well, a nice beer, but I’ll be on my Friday night Weißbiers when I go out in about 30 mins time.

I think RD still believes AS gives us another better goal threat, given we only play one main striker.
If Commons is fit, it changes things.
Graham posted his tweet approximately 2 months ago. STV must have know about it yet thought it appropriate to invite him onto their programme in the interim.

I think as the good men have said and posted, the Chris Graham story isn’t his departure, it was more about him being appointed in the first place.
His place on the Sevco board was a classic example what a state they are presently in, and not to have known what had gone before.
Perhaps they knew what had gone before but were prepared to ignore it in pursuit of the ETHOS.

just saw the photo in the scum with broonie
The speed that his hair has grown since sun am sure he’ll have dreadlocks
by ko time this wk.
Ban the rags Celtic
Pl and DD lack the bottle to do so.
————————————————-
More fool them if they dont .
As long as the’re allowed to print lies and untruths
they will continue to besmirch our club ie the new kit launch
Go on pl and dd , grow a pair and tell the media to gtf !
So for 100 pounds the Scum gets a photo of Broonie having a sit down. amazing.
2000 quid offered for photo of Celtic fans surrounding “thems” minibus and throwing a bottle.
No takers. Makes me think.
Enjoy the night guys
The FF loyal are backing the new regime all the way I see

To Dave King, you have blown it.
——————————————————————————–
You like Murray before you have allowed our club to be moralised to by vermin who had no problems with Celtic directors having open business links to a convicted child molester.
One week in and you have blew it already. A broken reed.
And you Paul Murray, where has your hand of friendship got you. You can stick that hand where the sun don’t shine.
Cowards the lot of you!

Fine and dandy, bud. Hope you all enjoyed O’s 15th.
Starting to get the drift that daughters are God’s punishment for being a bloke?

Yup – something strange about that.
Someone here said it could be a wee bit of payback (sure Graham had previously had a go at Murray, for example).
Personally, I don’t think they are that joined up in their thinking, and this appointment was just an ill-judged and ill-thought-through sop to the fans.

Wow, another Sevco world record, a director for 3 days only, the shortest term recorded anywhere ever, say what you like about them but they are still piling up world records…

Alfie,
There are three choices,
the third choice is to ignore the story.
Happy Celticing
———————————————————————————————
Ignore the story, even if it’s correct, and our captain is laying on the pavement drunk three days before our biggest game yet in the season?
Is that really what you are saying – where do you ever ‘draw the line’ in a football club?
BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS

Correct. No-one should call you a hun based upon what you post on here.
Is it ok if I call you a prick, wanker, tosser, liar, eejit?

If this is the best you can contribute – then we all know EXACTLY what you are…PATHETIC!!!

Hiya mate I hope you and the wee fella are looking forward to Sunday.
I’m not so sure. The new board must have known, surely, about his tweets. I think it’s possible that they put him in place knowing that something about his past would come out. He’d be forced into offering his resignation and the board can then say they’ve tried fan representation and it hasn’t worked.
Oh dear looks like chants of “sack the board” ahead…from FF

I posted a few days ago on the fury thread that this was the boards first real acid test . How they dealt with this would lay down a marker and set the tone for future dealings with a hostile press . They’ve made a real james hunt of it , they should’ve treated this story with the contempt it deserved .
No surrender

It’s a well known fact that all other European footballers live the monastic life, they spend their time off counting their money and would never think of spending it on alcohol or something more ‘recreational’ in case the Sun or some similar national excrement remover caught them and God forbid took a photograph of them sporting a white ‘moustache’ or sitting on a pavement outside a titty bar.
To all those going to CQN 11 have a wonderful time, I have fond memories of HT helping me downstairs and the number of people who were willing to give up their taxis for me at CQN 10, I was on crutches may I add!
Good evening friends. And what an evening it promises to be….
Big Virgil first goal and our Captain man of the match on Sunday would be a giruy to all our friends in the media.Big Virgils goal first of many I hope.
One of these days I might make it to a CQN event but it’s not going to be this one.
I hope all those attending tonight have a right good time :)

I think you may be right especially if we include
all of Chris Graham’s other anti Catholic, anti Irish, anti Celtic profile.
Quite naturally for them in Scotland they knew that would pass without comment, indeed it probably made him ideal.
But they boobed big time on ignoring or not knowing about his broader racism status, but then again bigotry is blind.
The Greatest Ever Deady Bear
Pic of the man returning ” home ” reminds me of this –
Kelvinbridge – Moonbeams / Souey / The Cardigan and the Greatest Ever Deady Bear standing outside an Italian ristorante ( a few doors up from the Philadelphia chippy.)on Great Western Rd..
A mate noticed them and said – – ‘Look – It’ s Brutus ! ‘ to which another mate replied – No it’ s no – it’s Bluto.’..
I smiled for hours afterwards.
Alufolie Kopf. Yes. Has a certain ring to it.
