You know what Dundee United really need? Scott Brown to turn up at Hampden on Sunday with a point to prove. We’ve complained for years about the way media scrutiny falls haphazardly on Celtic but God help us if we ever acquire the cosy relationship others cultivate in order to avoid the light scrutiny required to keep them healthy.
Celtic players are allowed to drink before their day off (as is the manager). Scott didn’t punch anyone, didn’t threaten anyone, didn’t drive under the influence, didn’t speak inappropriately and didn’t break club rules.
Had he not sat down this would never have been a story, even if he’d had an additional 10 drinks. ‘Scott Brown sat down’ is the story – and that’s the worst they can come up with. Paying someone £100 for a photograph and spending 30 minutes writing about it has to be the cheapest cover in publishing history. It doesn’t pass the ‘news’ test, it is celebrity gossip.
Pin it to the dressing room wall and he’ll be Man of the Match on Sunday, you can bank on it.
CQN11 St Patrick’s Dinner is tonight! Soooooooo excited. See you there.

Remember the days when you used to post regularly?
And anyone who took umbrage or disageed was ‘a moron’?
Strangely,some of us do. That’s why yer a prick and we don’t give a fick what you say. Eff off back to yer hole.
Let me apologise for giving this rag a mention but I see that a DR poll showed 70% in agreement that Virgil`s card being rescinded was the correct choice. That suggests that far too many Celtic supporters buy it. I am afraid Celtic FC have little chance of being treated fairly in the Media whilst we have so many `fans` still buying the organs which are so biased against us. Hopeless.

Just had some German youths throw and smash a bottle next to my car, outside my house. I had just poured my first drink of the day, G&T with sliced lemon and lime, before I went for a shower.
I don’t think they had ever experienced a Jock in a dressing gown in full flow before, lol, the culprit very sheepishly picked up as many shards of glass as he possibly could and meekly apologised. The F-word will still be ringing in his ears when he wakes up tomorrow!

“SCOTT BROON SITS DOON”.
Another fail from the gutter Scottish media. With Broony’s sense of humour, he must be laughing his head off at this one.
Nae mair politik please, it’s the weekend and the Celts are in town.

I hate it when you sit on the fence Big Man!
Hope you are well!
Everyone needs to let their hair down now and again, even sportsmen, and it’s not as if Broonie has previous for being a boozer and a poor performer. I’m sure he’ll be fired up on Sunday.
It’s yet another deflection story (true or not) from our lovely press with probably also Level 5 having a say in it.
Hopefully they’ll all be sickened by Monday.

The bottom line is this: anyone who buys, reads, writes for, or takes heed of a moralistic headline in a newspaper under the umbrella of newspaper group who hacked the mobile phone of a murdered school girl, to the extent that the family were given false hope that she might still be alive, must seriously take a good look in the bathroom mirror and question their daily habits.
Don’t engage the “free speech” troll.

The item about Scott Brown is only a case of the media taking up a fallback position. Having failed to drag him into last Sunday’s events on the park, it has decided to give him and Celtic a kicking off it.
Part of the ongoing problem with the media is that historically Celtic managements have lacked the guts to recognize that for sales purposes, the media need us more than we need them.
I know that I do this to death. Don’t moan about them if you are going to buy their papers, subscribe to their TV channels and listen to their radio broadcasts.
There has been much recently about the American Civil rights campaign of the mid 20th century. One of its central planks was, ‘don’t buy where you can’t work’.

I did think about that then decided that even three is too many 0:-)

Everyone who want to condemn Scott Brown based on the Sun article should be made to read your post beforehand.

Alfie N are you known personally any of the bloggers on this site? The reason I ask is,you do’nt project yourself very well. Maybe if someone on here knew the “real you” they could say you were a sound guy, just coming across wrong or in fact what you see is what you get – just curious. H H Hebcelt

I know no one, to my knowledge, who posts here.
I am always honest in my posts and never resort to hiding behind cliches, or, gang-up with other posters to ‘put the boot in’ to anyone I don’t agree with.
People are free to disagree with me, that’s free speech – I expect no less in expressng my view, and NOT to be called a ‘hun’
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Correct. No-one should call you a hun based upon what you post on here.
Is it ok if I call you a prick,wanker,tosser,liar,eejit?
Alfie,old bean,you have contributed nothing to this blog since you arrived. I have no idea why you even did! But still,your shout.
Commons will play. Henderson should play. Stokes shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 11 and Forrest should also be on bench.
You guys’n’gals going to CQN11- apparently the Beeb have a camera crew at Celtic Park asking fans their opinion on the Scott B non-story .
Good opportunity to point out the hair paradox. Get there early and you might be on the news tonight.
mind the swearies though..:-)
After the CQN 11 tonight, there could be a whole album of photo`s of people sitting down.
Enjoy yourselves bhoys.
Now that Graham has been axed, who will replace him?
Leggat?, Chic Young? The guy who tried to bomb NL? Attila the Hun?, Clarkson?
Has he been mutuallyed?
Has he nominated a successor or for King will it be a case of once bitten twice shy?
That’s a fairly typical Celtic fan’s view, you have.
So is mine, but I try and post what the manager will do.
If Commons is fit, I think he’ll start, Stokes has big time Hampden form,
James Forrest doesn’t, and reckon both will start.
I think he’ll wait for a less important game to start Liam.
I was thinking on the basis that the Commons, johansen, Henderson trio behind the striker worked very well just before we signed GMS and Armstrong and KC got injured.
Please let Tinfoil heids replacement should be the big hoose guy or the We don’t do walking away song guy.
I think as the good men have said and posted, the Chris Graham story isn’t his departure, it was more about him being appointed in the first place.
His place on the Sevco board was a classic example what a state they are presently in, and not to have known what had gone before.
Raffle tickets bought for tonight good luck to all entrants and to guys and ghirls attending the function – have a great night. Hail Hail Hebcelt
