SECOND CELTIC BID REJECTED

CELTIC have had a second bid of £375,000 for Motherwell goalkeeper Trevor Carson rejected by the Fir Park side.

The offer was made just before the Hoops’ 3-1 win over Hearts last night with Dorus de Vries deputising for Craig Gordon who will be out for three months with a knee in jury.

The champions put a 2pm deadline on the proposed move.

It was the second bid from the Parkhead men with a £250,000 offer also being knocked back by the club who are insisting of £750,000 for the shotstopper who cost £10,000 from Hartlepool in the summer.
