We’re really building a fantastic pool of players – the bench tonight included Forrest and Ledley, who both came on and helped to turn the game in out favour as well as Miku, Rogne, Kayal and Watt. There’s a number of options for the manager to change the game. I’m quite confident in saying that if we played that home game again against Benfica with the full squad fit then we could have taken the win.
Massive congrats to Neil Lennon, the scouting staff and the Bhoys on the park! A wonderful result. If this is a slow lingering death for Scottish football then Lang may it linger!

We WON it……nuthin’ but nuthin’ can detract fom that magnificent achievement, nuthin’. Let no one tell you any different. Tonight we were class….tonight we came of age under NFL…..nake no mistake about it….this is just the beginning. You can sense it.

Watched the game live here on Spanish digital+. I had my 6-week-old son beside me (wearing a superb hoops pyjamas outfit – how do I post a photo of it?) and a lovely malt to enjoy. Such a fantastic night and lots of praise from the Spanish commentators although the fact that they were working from their studio meant that there was no atmosphere created by them whatsoever.
Here’s to Barca thumping Benfica.
Enjoy the night Bhoys, one for the history books and an end to that monkey on our back.

What is it with games against Spartak Moscow – brilliant theatre and smiling from ear to ear. Bet I’m the only one about to celebrate with a 3 mile run (did a pledge with the Big Man before kick off and a promise is a promise!)
great performance from the Bhoys but that ref ,, frightened me he
was a disgrace ,thought he was looking for a chance to even it up
but the lads kept their focus and that was great to see.

I went my 3mile run before the game. Poot planning my mhan.
It would be churlish to single anyone out after such a good team performance, however in the last 2 games we have seen Izzy back to his best and he is cutting out the ill-timed mad dashes forward.
The centre back pairing was very solid and if he can get a run of 4 or 5 games with an unchanged back 4 then this will benefit the entire.
Still doesn’t pay to over intellectualise about football, can’t help feeling that result will have wider impact across the Divisions in Scotland, particularly if we can hold our heads up in the Camp Nou.
