Brilliant team performance, and a bunch of great individual ones. Calm, controlled and not a little skill-full. Goal chances well taken, not panicked by the Spartak goals, composed throughout.
Even Souness on Al-Jazeera was praising the team.
Hail hail to that performance. We are on the way with a young team, very young manager who is learning and doing the right things. His european record is outstanding now – even looking at last years learning curve in Europa league where we drew away with Rennes and Udinese. No mean feat. Some outstanding stuff tonight – but special mentions from me for Ambrose (who brings calmness) and Lustig who is now showing why we brought him here. Had misfortune of having to listen to RS for the first half and before hand all questioned why he was playing. We got the answer loud and clear. HH and all enjoy the night ahead. Going to watch Benfica / Barca and not really caring how it goes but probably a Barca win is best for our interests. HH
Well done Celtic. Must say I was worried about conceding either side of half time, but I think we deserved it in the end. Overdue, as some previous away performances have deserved more. Also looking good for European football of some sort after Christmas.
