We are struggling to put the ball in the net we create chances but are not putting them away its a good job we have Griffiths Boyata being ordered off does not help us.However,we must work our way through this tricky period and 1-0 is good enough. We can worry about Aberdeen on Saturday and who plays where. Petulant, snarling and unprofessional.

Probably Sunday and Monday evening I reckon. I can’t see a 12:30 and 5:30 kick off working.

Better second half, loved Griff, deeeeeelighted for the wee fella.
Loved Broony’s intensity.

Beaton lost it. Took out yellow but changed his mind, would’ve been a red for two yellows. Canny send a player off for swearing. Not even in scoddland. I’ve rarely seen a ref so ragin’ after Celtic scoring

Don’t know what the fuss is about? Young Jack had an excellent game when he came on and even tried various times to drive us forward from the CH position. Will be a stalwart for Celtic and Scotland for many years to come.
The red is ridiculous and will be rescinded, I watched Jordan Jones repeatedly tell a linesman to F Off at the weekend. Embarrassing.
How can there be 2 games on the Sunday, unless the other is at Easter Road or Murrayfield.
bankiebhoy1 on
Can the card be appealed?

They made a mess of the draw, had they paired us against the huns the game could have been on the sunday, shocked how they could mess it up, not.
We are away in europe on the thursday.

One of the Scottish League Cup semi-finals could be played at Murrayfield after Celtic and Rangers were kept apart in the semi-final draw.
Rangers will play Aberdeen and Celtic will face Hearts after both won their quarter-finals on Wednesday.
The games were scheduled for Hampden on October 27 and 28, but both Celtic and Rangers have to play on the Sunday due to their Europa League commitments.
Police will not permit both matches to be played in Glasgow on the same day.
That leaves Murrayfield as the only stadium large enough to accommodate the likely demand for tickets.
Neither the SPFL nor Scottish Rugby were willing to comment, but there are no events scheduled to be held at the home of Scottish Rugby that weekend.
The quarter-final results also mean the Premiership matches between Aberdeen v Livingston and Dundee v Hearts on the Saturday, as well as Hibs v Rangers and Celtic v Motherwell on the Sunday, will be rescheduled.

Boyata was getting a yellow but refused to come over to the referee and then said something else to him. Straight red. He knew it was coming because he was walking off before the ref got the red out of his pocket. I understand his frustration with Beaton but that’s just petulance!
Dedryk gave him the opportunity and Beaton took it. Probably with enthusiasm .
Having said that , Beaton`s facial language showed uncontrolled anger himself in his ” chat / explanation ” with Broony.
Very unusual .

so more loss gets a yellow tonight for dissent and DB gets a red?

We will never win an appeal for the red, not a chance they will believe a Celtic player over one of their own, to suggest such a thing is delusional.

*used tae say as long as we make the chances they will eventually go in, in saying that in the 2nd half of the LC Final against the harry wraggs we made enough chances tae win 6 games only Alan Rough in goal who played a blinder and bad luck prevented us fae winning the game.
Our forward line consisted of Kenny, Harry Harry and Skip Tae Ma Lou. After the game Jock quickly signed Denis Connaghan (who played a stormer in a 3-0 loss tae us in the semis with St Mirren who had big hayley mcqueen at centre half) and Dixie so you can guess who he blamed for that loss.

Thanks for the updates. In summary, based on the posts on here:
Sounds like Edouard remains invisible, Calmac is way off form and Broonie either injured or knackered.
Griff was getting pelters until he scored, Forrest spent the game facing the wrong way and Lustig and KT have forgotten how to play a forward pass.
Thank God we won.

Jack Hendry did absolutely fine and I think he is showing really good mental fortitude because opposition fans ridicule him and, sadly, many Celtic fans do too. He may not be a Beckenbauer or even a Mjallby but he’s showing some strength of character.
Central defence – could be Hendry and KT, Izaguirre on the left. If not Hendry, Benkovic or Jozo if we can get either of them fit. Aberdeen aren’t all that, we’ll see them off at the weekend.
