  1. Apologies if posted. SSB update :

Brendan Rodgers says their win against St Johnstone was a good demonstration of their persistence and quality.

Edouard has an impact injury on his foot but should be okay.

Rodgers more worried about Forrest’s hamstring problem.

Lustig was taken off with an achilles issue.

  2. CC – Not sure if you already know, St. Edna’s got through to the all-Ireland final.

This Saturday at Croker, playing a Kerry club they are.

    HH. ?

  3. Andrew Dallas has been in charge of 12 Scottish #Premiership games in 2018-19, three of those games involved Rangers, he’s awarded them six penalties in those three games In the nine other Premiership games he’s refereed this season he’s only awarded two penalties

  4. BR on injuries

Hoping with Edouard it will just be swelling

    Christie ribs are sore

Forrest tight hamstring didnt want to risk

  5. Every injury is someone’s opportunity. Obviously I hate to see any of our bhoys taking a knock but that is why we have a squad & often injuries do result as a blessing in disguise .

If Eddy had stayed on would we have seen Weah win the match?. Mibbe Aye Mibbe Naw.

  6. BR has said it was a Red card as he did with Boyata earlier in the season at Perth, no chance will Celtic attempt an appeal of the red card

  7. Eavesdropping on opponents pre match coaching talk would be interesting.

Coach-stay tight and play right through the back of them.

    Player-But is that no illegal?

Coach-not in Scotland when playing Timmy!

Coach-when defending our box tackle recklessly

    Player-seriously

Coach-It’s Scotland ya fanny we are well covered by sfa, refs and mssm.

    Sorry pal, but I disagree.

I don’t blame Celtic for the zombie cheating. But I do blame Celtic for the lack of response to it.

We know which side our Board is on.. in 2012, PL said we don’t need them, and his boss (yess, DD is the boss) publicly smacked him down, saying that they are the same club (relegated) and that we need them (all of Scottish football needs them). Since then, radio silence from PL.

In light of the foregoing, it makes no sense to think that we are working behind the scenes as you suggest.

But, Assuming you are right, and the Board have been dealing with the 5WA, LNS, etc., behind closed doors, it has brought no results. So, even if you are right, a new strategy is needed…

Today highlights that for me …

, It seems to me that our failure to publicly speak out on the off-field issues, has emboldened the cheats to get even worse on field … and it is only going to get worse as the zombies become more desperate ..

Is it going to take one of our players getting seriously injured before our management speak out? We will soon find out, as I would not be surprised if OE has a broken foot….

  9. Thought we were great last 30 minutes, applied real pressure and deservedly won. Hope Edouard is ok as looked a bad one. Huge 3 points.

  10. Apart from anything else Celtic should be asking why James F. was booked for celebrating his goal, whereas Timo Weah was not booked for the same celebration. Colum’s inconsistence here shows that he just makes up the rules as he likes.

Liked the look of the new right back.

    Me too.

  12. In the face of an incessant FtSFA

    Very well done Bhoys

OB tackle in first half, clear penalty

RC tackle on chest, clear penalty

Tackle on OE, same move as RC, clear penalty – plus at very minimum red card for stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity

Glad to see our silence is working a treat in dealing with FtSFA

I am fuming at the relentless differential treatment Celtic recieve to that’s of others we play

Back to the game, Scott Brown, superb, as was Simonuvic, Toljan looks very decent as well

And what a camera from young Timo

    Hail Hail

  13. i'vehadtochangemymind on

    I loved that game.

They kept going, cudda been 5 nil

Burke gets the deal – put loadsa effort in, even though you’re not a centre forward

A sub comes on who is sublime

many of the ref decisions today would not stand up to independent scrutiny

how the tackle from behind wasn’t a foul when collum was looking straight at it, I do not know

  15. 79CAPS – ask them that and Weah will be summoned by the compliance officer and given a red for inflammatory behaviour :)

  17. The second goal was a thing of beauty, I love those goals, devastating pace and finishing. Class.

  18. Norrie, Not too sure about Tim O’s camera, Starry is the ‘ go to ‘ man when it comes to that sort of stuff.

  19. Collum like every other ref in Scotland , is working to orders ,we all have our hunch who is making the orders . same applies with the BBC. Stv. Sky .it’s time the bigots were weeded out .

  20. 16 roads

Radio Scotland played a few minutes of an interview with Broony before the game… he said Australia interested him but why leave Celtic, he said he goes into work everyday with a smile on his face and would miss the wind and rain at Lennoxtown everyday ..

Aff oot to the Mint for a bit of grub with the family

    Happy days

    Hail Hail

  21. Calmac was great in the build-up to the second goal – superb run and then a perfect cross. Let’s hope he stays fit.

  23. And now for the serious post.

Referee should never be in charge of a Celtic game again, nor any other premier league match if that was just honest mistakes. And he can take his myopic linesman with him to the lower leagues.

Tackle on Burke is a foul. Happy that VAR would NOT overrule the refs decision as it wasn’t a “clear and obvious” mistake. But was it an honest one?

Foul on Christie, got to admit I wasn’t shouting for a pen so maybe I could excuse the ref. But the straight leg studs up assault on Eddie had me apoplectic. How could the ref and the linesman not see that. Absolutely a red card and a penalty.

A litany of injuries from today’s game to add to the long list of injuries. Hopefully none are as serious as they seemed.

Liked the look of Toljan. Looking forward to Bayo getting on the park.

  24. Why are some alleged Celtic supporters questioning why our big septic tank Tim didnae get a yellow for running intae the crowd celebrating our insurance goal, STFU and stop giving these hun effers ideas.

  25. Had a similar collision to big Edouard’s a few years back and it turned out to be a

a chipped bone on the foot

Very painful but not too serious

Hope big Edz is the same

  26. Starry Plough Spot on, Pass & Run sums up Calmac, I don’t think we have any other players who can do that so well. This and his shooting ability is why he has scored goals in Europe against a lot of good teams (Ajax, Bayern, Zenit, etc.)

  27. It’s already all been said about today’s game so I’ll keep my observations to the midweek games. We should be good enough to beat Hibs despite our injuries. Has Bayo’s work permit come through yet? If so he needs to hit the ground running.

A win for Aberdeen will cause sevco and all things hun to go into apoplexy and they won’t recover despite getting a helping hand from the MIB’s.

Prediction: Youssouf Mulumbu to score winning goal v sevco in next week’s cup game at Kilmarnock ?
