The issue here is that SC can get a game out of him but NL / JFK cannot.
It is our whole issue in miniature.
Our performance was so bad for 89 mins / 45 secs that I thought there were bookies involved.
Worth the wait for two brilliant goals. Great to see Griff looking so sharp and probably Shane’s best display for Hoops.
There’s a different feeling to today’s win – even though 2:0 looks comfortable.
I cannot say we clearly earned that win. We were (slightly) the better team but we were devoid of flair and often , pedestrian.
I am delighted we won the 3 points but there are obvious problems in not having a settled selection or team shape and in the lack of chance creation overall.
We have learned that Elhamed has not played well at CB – I am no fan of Jullien but he is better suited there.
Greg Taylor is a hard working boy and a good deputy for LB but he has too muc difficulty in getting beyond his first man
Edouard is our most talented player but, in these games, the hard work of the less talented Kilimala, was more valuable.
And, finally, Griff is unmanageable and uncoachable- so he creates a dilemma for Neil and any manager because he scores.
I am glad I don’t have to sort this out.
Hope all our players survive International week- we are going to need them
Just when we need a hunskelper , Griff comes roaring back . It means we can bench Eddy until he recovers from whatever tiredness , injury or unsettledness that ails him .

Now of course I’m not comparing the ability but look at the difference in desire between Klimala and Eddie…
Eddie can do things Klimala can’t but no way would Eddie have scored that goal today – never.

I am in the all that matters is the win camp.
Sure I like a nice free flowing free scoring performance, and these come in waves during a season, but equally there is something delicious about late late wins when we have played poorly.

In other news , Neil Lennon says Eddy won’t be leaving , although it looked at times today as if he already had.
Overwhelming feeling of relief. Went for a walk with 20 to go as I could watch no more.
We’ve a big decision to make in terms of Eddie for the derby. He’s nowhere near it and not worthy of a place right now.

I was strangely relaxed in the final minutes, you just felt it was coming.
Much to ponder from first 80 (maybe a few hours or days from now) – right now I’m going to enjoy the goals and the win.
