    In any other league in the world that’s a red card, last man, through the back of the player, violent conduct, except against Celtic, cheating ref.

     

    Great to see Griffiths back and scoring, what he does best. Klimala after being assaulted did really well. Rogic back too, feeling so much better now that I was for about 80 minutes of the game.

     

    That’s why we’re Champions, hail, hail!!

    For the record — LG is a quality player with a huge amount of talent.

     

    Unfortunately he can lack focus and has a headless chicken mode that is difficult to switch off.

     

     

    However he is a top class striker who knows where he needs to be to hurt the opposition the most.

     

    He needs support both on and off the park — he is too honest to hide when the spotlight is put on him.

     

    It might sell newspapers but it does not help him.

    Got up at 6am to watch, I have a fitness challenge at work so cycled 24 mike’s on the exercise bike whilst watching. Was thinking at least I got some exercise when Super Leigh saved the day. Lovely cross from Elhamed.

     

     

    Thought the formation didn’t work today. Admittedly some poor performances across the team, perhaps the shorter recovery after a tough night on Thursday impacted.

    It would have been an injustice if St.Johnstone had ‘stolen’ a point,yes of course we left it late,but we were the more deserving of all points.Well done Celtic, that result has left a large portion of Scotland’s population in tears.

    We have had a VW sized hole in the squad for 6 years.

     

    We need to fill it.

     

     

    For the record SB was never a DM.

     

    He can play the position but he is not the player we need for that role.

    And it was McCart whose father is in charge of the Celtic Academy and he came through the academy before going to Ross county then St Johnstone, he also has tackled our players like this previously, prick.

    griff knows he is going to score, its wonderful.

    Neil finally gets 2 up front and both score for us. Surely he will keep that formation going forward. Seems like he wants to cram the midfield with our ‘stars’ but switching to 2 up front created so much space for us through the middle. Brown made a huge difference with his forward pressing. Griff’s movement was totally refreshing after watching Eddie amble around up there. And what a brilliant header. Ayer’s set up for the Elhamed cross was a thing of beauty. Klimala was almost sliced in 2 by a typical StJ tackle but sprang back to his feet and smashed the ball home. Really pleased for him to get on the score sheet again.

     

     

    It wasn’t pretty, but that’s why we’re champions. Duffy MOM for me.

    Stop the Taylor bashing and also lay off French Eddy. Tell me another striker that could look world class when constantly left alone with an entire team around him.

    dearie dearie, not for the first time this season the bottom line will be 3 pts won and its all about the result from the it’s only the score that matters brigade, but that performance today was once again dire.

     

    Eddy currently is a waste of a jersey he coud’nae trap a bag of cement , we score 2 not long after we put Ryan out to left wing after GT was rightly subbed, we bring on and play with 2 strikers who want to go forward, whatever has happened to Lenny’s promise to play quick high tempo forward moving play to the lethargic and boring performances we are watching now , I was shouting for ON to get a start and leave SB out but my god he was poor today along with the majority.

    With the midfield looking so flat and uninspired at times, anyone else think a full-fit Rogic could be an asset this season?

     

     

    Loved his positivity when he came out…always looking to run and pass forward – not sideways.

     

     

    I think Eddie and Griff need to start against “them”. Eddie has been way off form but the best I’ve seen him play is when he’s partnered by Griff. They play well together and understand each other’s game. I think it might spark a reaction from Eddie.

    Griff will rightly get plaudits, but hats off to Ajer for an wonderful piece of skill to take 2 St J players out the game and create time and space for El Hamed to drop the ball on Griff’s head.

    Thought barkas and frimpong were only ones in 1st half looking to play forward passes and play quickly.

     

     

    Murray Davidson is a horrible player.should have been booked a lot earlier than he was.

     

     

    Referee was abysmal. Definitely looked like a cheat

    Our play this year is pedestrian – we are more intent on keeping the ball

     

    We rarely penetrate behind opposition full backs

     

    Our attacking play is stuck in 2nd gear

     

     

    Why

     

     

    Obviously I don’t know – but a few observations

     

     

    A new coach Strachan junior – is he influencing keep ball don’t attack style of play

     

    We are changing the team formation and players too regularly

     

    Pressure – players are aware of the significance of losing TIAR

     

    No Fans – other teams are used to playing with none to very small crowds

     

     

     

    I know (at time of writing this) we are top of the league – but I think we are all aware we can play a lot better than we have been

    Yes most players would have stayed down, killed the game. Or if it was the EPL would have rolled ten times, be treated for 10 minutes and then carried off!

    So, I had to be out today and got back home to catch the match from the 85th minute! my first thought was “Yes! Leigh Griffiths is on the park! 😊” My second thought was that the score is 0-0 so St. Johnstone are obviously making it difficult, but while the game is alive we still have time to score… My delight with Leigh Griffiths being on the park turned to ecstacy and a huge shout of YES!!! 😊 as he placed a perfect header in the back of the net! 😊. My next thought was YES!!! 😊 as Klimala’s determination saw him score a superb goal! My Penultimate thought was that Griffiths, Klimala and one of Brown, Duffy or Christie should be my picks for Jobo’s CQN POTY. 😊. My last thought was that I suppose I should watch the whole match before picking my top 3? 🤔 😊

     

     

    I’m sorry, did someone say ” Don’t bother? 🤔”

    Who is Walsh? Is he one of the Lanarkshire mafia in refereeing? One thing is certain, he has a dual interpretation of what is a foul. Do they have different rules in his part of the world?

     

    Think the auld heart is still functioning okay after that. Watched the first half with one of my nephews who went home at half time. Phoned him at the end of the game and his first remark was “have you stopped shouting yet?”. Well, by them my shouting was of another kind.

     

     

    Incidentally as someone who was in Lisbon in 67, I thought the Cattanacio in football was dead. It appears all Scottish managers have revived it when they play us. Ten men and a goalkeeper plus a referee behind the ball.

     

    Incidentally did you notice the look on the far side linesman’s face when we scored?

    Thank God the old man came on to push the Tic on, and another thank God tha Lee came on to win the match

     

     

    After a European away game it is inclined to knock hell out of any team that has travelled abroad and I believe that the SPFL tried to help St Johnstone by playing so early in the day,where The Hun gets the normal 3.00pm kick off time.

     

     

    I always have my doubts that Celtic would play well after travelling back from a far distance,we survived ,didn’t play well but got the result that takes us to the top off the League.

     

     

    I don’t come on here very much nowadays because of the Moaners that post on here, it’s a shame that most of the moaners have chased away the good posters.

    Today we saw a stricar named Desire, take a bow Patryk Klimala, absolutely brilliant reaction to being chopped on the edge of the box.
