  1. BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL on 3RD JANUARY 2024 9:48 AM

Perhaps you have a clearer/better link than I do, please share it.

It looked to me like it hit his shoulder?

Thank you for acknowledging that the slaughter of innocents on 7 October started this war which has escalated with horrendous deaths of Gaza civilians as well as combatants

as you said, your own interpretation…

7 October started this war ? staggering.

  3. Spikeyauldman, yes just my own view, and I know I may be wrong, dead children eat into my soul too. This is not the first battle, or the first war, those happened a long time before the Balfour declaration. We each have our own perspective. It is only when they start to overlap that we can have a chance of peace. Finishing my whiskey and heading to sleep. Next time on CQN I will be talking Celtic. Peace aroha. We can only hope.

  4. It’s difficult to judge how shankland etc would fair in our team – we play a different style and we play against deep defenses of 10 men behind the ball

  5. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Quadbhoy – cheers.

Just the link posted last night on here taken from our friend Lint on Twitter.

The last view is the best (see frame 5 seconds from end of clip).

    Next bit is boring.

    Human mechanics.

We’ve all seen keepy-uppy displays by individual players which include bouncing the ball on the shoulder.

To do this effectively – the upper arm is held tight against the body (the lower arm can be loose BTW) …

this tightens and firms the shoulder muscle … which then allows the bounce effect of the ball upwards off the shoulder.

A fully extended arm thrown upwards has the opposite effect on the shoulder muscle.

It is relaxed, the muscle tightening occurs in the tricep and the obliques (side muscles).

That tightening generates the power which, in this case, propelled the ball up and forward.

    Look at Sima’s arm.

Fully extended and thrown upwards, he deliberately strikes the ball. Point of contact just above the elbow.

  6. TAURANGABHOY on 3RD JANUARY 2024 9:40 AM

Its a passion for humanity Taurangabhoy, not singularly Palestine, but against state genocide be it by Nazis in Germany or their derivative lingerers today.Having a grandfather born pre irish famine that genocide is close and makes spotting state murder which we currently watch in Gaza easy to pick out with its 25,000 unworthy victims,a high % of whom are children.

In my post i distinctly differentiate between zionist and those jews who follow their faith,a faith and people who have contributed richly to global progression.i imply Zionism is the danger to world peace, not the jews, those who dissent where Israel is going today as i point out are slandered as selfhating jews.

I acknowledge the death of innocent human beings Taurangabhoy,be they on the 7th of october or before on the 6th,5th,4th….@~

Nowhere in my post do i acknowledge it is the start of a war narrative, the war narrative

is yours and coincides with the current israeli propoganda/bull that the war started on the 7th,after years of abuse, dehumanization, racism Gaza had its WarsawGhetto moment and its resulting in the same zionist/nazi response where humanity is shown as cheap

I am sure the current (greater)west bank colonization has since 1948 has resulted in your friends being moved on limiting the diversity and strength of the diaspora,as the focus over the whole region plums to depths of tit for tat sectarianism.

I like you would hope and pray for peace TB,The 2 state solution Netanyahu has rejected since the late 70s,their own extremists/settlers,now part of govt assasinated Peres and those who sought peace. How can you have peace when those opposite control everything in and out,all power, all water in an arid enviroment and have the nuclear option to consider if they ever think defeat is on the cards,or has been implied against Iran.

Yup Hamas have stated they will end Israel, done as the Israeli state ethnically cleanses and settles the west bank and looks for a greater israel, plans are afoot for a new Gaza, settled while the current population is asked to accept voluntary emigration.

I dont accept i am speaking for one side,or have a one sided view,my humanity doesnt allow that.i simply dissent the view of an apartheid racist state to be taken as a morale truth when hospitals are bombed and some 25,000 men woman and children are murdered,a jewish life is no more/less value than one slaughtered and in a mass grave in Gaza. There is no chosen people, only human beings.

Final point, the Israelis need better government and need to adhere to UN resolutions, all 250 ably rejected by them assisted by US/Uk cohorts,it comprimizes peace globally as we see with Ukraine and looking back when war criminal Blair&Bush took war to Iraq,it makes a fool of the whole system.

Any Peace out and HNY down under

“Just the link posted last night on here taken from our friend Lint on Twitter.”

That’s the link I watched. I took the screen grabs I shared from that same video. It hits his right shoulder for me, clearer each time I look at it, especially when viewed from both angles. The white markings on the arm are above the elbow and the point of contact is above this.

Not that it means much either way but neither the Killie CB nor MF tracking back (both closer than the ref with a clear view) claimed for a handball either which I find odd as most players call for a handball even when it hits a face/chest/anywhere but the arm.

    QB

P.S. Human mechanics are never boring, to me anyway :)
