  1. Just my personal opinion, but I really think its time Brendan went back to what made us so hard to beat in the invincible season.Watching Liverpool yesterday destroy a good Spurs team with quick, forward play, backed by their midfield, they were a joy to watch.Time he brought Sinclair back, put Griff in as striker, and pushed Jamesy further up the park.A midfield of Broony,Ntcham,Mulumbu,in front of a back 4.We have far too many midfielders on at any given time, especially in the SPFL.Broony,Ntcham,Calmac,Rogic,Jamesy lying deeper,is the reason ,I think of far too much over passing of the ball.

Time to leave out some of the favourites, and try a new approach.Get KT back to what he does best, linking up with Sinky.

Watching the stuff being served up now regularly is depressing.

So many goals scoredyesterday in England were carbon copies of the goals we lost to AEK.Winger cutting the ball back from the byeline. When was the last time we saw that?

  2. Big bhoy you scroll on by but don’t post fake news.

Bobby the reason no explanation is given is because there is no consistency.

  3. In Brendan we used to trust…

In Lawwell we used to trust…

In Paul67 we used to trust…

In CQN we used to trust…

  4. Did someone once say something along the lines of “1 defeat and the wheels will fall off”. Is that proving to be correct? Or was it the transfer window at fault? Or the refs?

Hope we prove all of that to be nonsense. A few victories in succession and wheel (sic) be back on track.

The governing bodies in Scottish football are corrupt. Celtic know, and had a fair idea from the late 1990s, that Oldco’s finances were dodgy, which makes them at least implicated in the corruption.

We all know fine that almost every aspect of our lives is governed by corrupt institutions for the benefit of the “elite”. You operate a bank account, you watch TV, you buy stuff from dodgy corporations. By participating in the capitalist game. you are implicated in it and therefore equally guilty of corruption as Celtic.

I support Celtic knowing about their complicity in the politics of the game. And I’m not going to let a moaning faced git stop my enjoyment. So there!

We saw it on Friday, just that Griff skied it over the bar.

Humble and sincere apologies, for all the pretty lady posts, I’m surprised its taken us thus long to expose you as Hilary Clinton?

I’d have thought such a great Celtic supporter like you, would have been more troubled by the objectionable

    original post.

But then perhaps not, keep up the new great work for womens lib and res 12, don’t be a stranger for so long, next time.

    Res 12 ?

  8. Supersutton,

Once in how many games? We have no width, when KT is not on it.The middle of the park resembles Buchanan St on a Saturday afternoon.

  9. My idea to generate oodles of spondoolies for charity is for Paul67 to sell a wee black book of Deleted Posts….He could even anonymise them and have a further fund raising venture where readers can submit their guesses about who the authors are.

    10p for the pamphlet

10p to enter the competition with a prize of dinner with BMCUWP, BSR, WITS, Ger57, TurkeyBhoy and Neg….I tell you he could make £millions.??

    Hail Hail

    Matt…..ffs they’re open!

  10. SUPERSUTTON AT 12.32,

“Two or 3 victories and the wheels will be back on again”.

I would hope so,but last season, and the start of this one, does not really bode well.We are not scoring enough goals. The next slip up always just seems to be round the corner.Brendan has to change the way we are playing. My Brother told me he grew a beard on Friday night,in between two forward passes.

  11. 50 shades of green on

    WITS….

If you thought the accent in Doncaster was terrible, wait till you get to Scouse land mate. ?

  13. Hello again all you young rebels.

Wasn’t even going to open the computer tonight, thought i would

just sulk into bed with a bottle of red.

As you’ve probably guessed our bhoys got beat 2-1 today and i was

    seriously miffed.

Fiesty game with two sent off against a team of mainly Syrian lads

but a very good team and deserved winners of the State Championship.

But i’m fine now, you know why? well i’ve just read back on CQN about

our captains lovely sister and her sad death at a very young age and

also about the fantastic achievment of CAITYROLLERCOASTER so what

had i to be morbid about.

Sometimes we just have to put things into perspective.

  14. Ger57. What I might think about our capitalist structure in neither here nor there. Scotland is an anti catholic racist society. Celtic are or at least were a bulwark against that. That’s why Scottish society rallied so much with the Hun. It is one of their main vehicles to perpetuate their racism.

That you are happy to accept the people who run Celtic aren’t just allowing the racism but actively promoting it says a lot.

  15. Melbourne Mick hard luck to the youngsters?

You are absloloutley correct, there is too much pain, heartache and sadness going on all around us and we get caught up in our own wee petty squabbles or day to day crap and think the whole world is against us.

Life is far too short .

    Hail Hail

  16. BMCUWP keep yer chin up. It seems posts get deleted for the slightest of things nowadays .

There you go again making accustions against me instead of looking at the complexities involved.

They at least produce an informed opinion and if you took time off making your preconditioned judgement of my motivations you might find to your shock and horror the detail supports your argument.

Celtic will have to explain to shareholders why they have failed to act on the detailed information about a complex set of UEFA rules, without the comprehension of which there would be no case to answer.

So instead of bring out your “Auldheid is making something that is complex complex ” trumpet, why not spend some time reading the TSFM blog and express a view based on the researched information it provides?

You might find to your embarrassment it supports you argument re corruption and where it lies.

In short address the message and not the messenger.

  20. Hello everyone ,bit of a war zone on here or am I liable to be deleted for exaggerating the context? Not going to get involved and as far as I can see no one is questioning why the club with many more international players away with national squads was playing earlier than the others?

On another more important matter I have a Moffat Stand ticket available for next Sunday, £20 or a £20 donation to Mary’s Meals or another’s good cause will be the price to any supporter interested in seeing us play crab football in the flesh. Anyone interested can find me via CQN or DM on Twitter. Behave yourselves now.,

  21. Melbourne Mick you got to take the positives from the youngsters games.

Without sounding like a bible bashing do gooder. They are obviously talented, fit young men, gaining great life skills.

Team bonding, meeting different people, learning about working as a team whilst playing their individual part, communication skill. All of which will help them in their adult working life’s.

    Hail Hail

    D. :)

  22. In reading over this weekend’s comments, I am getting the strong impression that a lot of the posts that had been prepared for the 2nd September have been torn up, re-assembled and posted again because we did drop points in Paisley but not at CP against Sevco.

If Sevco had got a fluky equaliser, all our dominance and performance would have been ignored and we would be hearing the same mesages that we are hearing now i.e. “We are useless because we messed up the window (BTW- I agree) and have become complacent in the face of an increased challenge and 10 iar is now impossible”

    All we know is:-

We drew a game with St. Mirren in early September

This was a game we should have won but our play did not merit the 3 points.

The ref, despite some 2nd half game management, did not cost us the 2 dropped points.

We are 2nd in the league and, as Hearts have 3 home league fixtures before they visit Ibrox in early October, we are unlikely to be top until late October, at the earliest.

The league is not won by September and October. Ever.

So, whether we are going to recover and get back on top or whether we are in an inevitable decline from last season and are “sussed out with no Plan B”, well only time will tell.

In the meantime, we need to tune up our team and build some attacking consistency (despite our lack of defensive recruits, the defence has done quite well in the opening 5 games). As there is no transfer wndow until January, we need to face up to our recruitment failures, put them away in the box of “things we cannot do anything about now”, and get on with supporting the team to greater efforts.

We have 4 tough fixtures in the remainder of September-

Our home Europa League tie in a “should win” match.

A tricky away league fixture on Killie’s artificial surface.

A league cup away Q-F tie against premiership opposition

A home game against the Dons.

    October is even harder

Two away Europa ties where we wil be underdogs

    Another league trip to Perth

and 2 home league games vs Hibs and Well

I confidently predict that we will not win all of these games, so there will be plenty of opportunities for further complaint. In fact, I do not expect us to win100% in either the remainder of September and certainly not in October.

Leagues and campaigns are long slogs. We need to escape the over dramatic prophecies arising from temporary (hopefully) set-backs. we need to avoid the lighthouse thinking. Such prophecies of lost leagues have been made in each of our past 7 league winning seasons.

One year, they will be proven right but, please, spare us the “I told you so’s” when it happens.

Just to say, I always love reading your posts.

And I think your lack of perspective in defeat is great! It’s how winners are forged.

  27. Neganon2

I’ll keep this simple for you.

If there was no breach of UEFA FFP 2010 in 2011 of

    Article 43 (h)

Article 50 and Annex VIII 1,2 and a) to d)

    Article 55e

    Article 56c

    Article 66

    Article 67

(and it was these articles that the UEFA CFCB would have had to investigate had Canalamar’s Res12 been passed.) then there is nothing to be done.

The crucial point being proof on non compliance of the above rules would have been confirmed or proved to be incorrect if such an investigation took place. (and have a look at the third instance on the TSFM blog for UEFA involvement.)

Instead Res12 was adjourned and instead the SFA were asked to investigate , but my TSFM Blog at

    https://www.sfm.scot/jpp-perverting-justice/

shows in the detail, supported by persuasive evidence, how the JPP has been used to pervert justice and why it is no longer a reliable route for Celtic to depend on which was their policy at the last AGM..

Your overall view of corruptness is an accurate one, the position Celtic have been put in by Res12 activity since 2014 and especially since June, is to show they are not part of it.

That is hugely important because its one thing to think the rest of Scottish Football is corrupt and Celtic are the lone warriors battling against it (a view I took from an earlier post by BigBhoy?) its quite another for Celtic to be seen to be complicit.

So do yourself a favor drop your preconceived notions and try and understand the complexities for without that understanding you are John Baliol – a Toom Tabard.

“Edward made John suffer by having him dress up as king one last time and then taking the crown from his head, the sword and sceptre from his hands, the ring from his finger and even the fur from his coat. John was completely humiliated and earned the nickname Toom Tabard (empty coat). Balliol was imprisoned in the Tower of London and eventually released into the custody of the pope. ”
