Possession is paramount! That’s what Brendan wants. That’s fine. I’d like to see us attempt passes that risk losing possession but if completed, could see an attempt at goal. Because if we lose possession we are about to regain possession ‘cos there is no team in the SPFL who are good enough to keep the ball away from us. This tactic may suit the manager and the rational supporters. Maybe.
This clown should get sacked, folk dying over there, sorry for hun link

Imagine the trauma that potentially faces those under the age of twelve-ish ….They probably have no recollection of Celtic not winning the league.
In the event even of a nail biting finish as the three big teams of Celtic Hearts and Livingston stretch their necks to try and reach the winning line first it is possible that we may have to initiate psychological counselling to deal with the countrywide shattering of nerves, collapse of bowels and sudden demand for incontinence pants.
I think Peter Lawwell should take the initiative and allay the fears of all concerned by starting a fund-me page.
Failure to do SOMETHING would be evidence of the board’s complete detachment from the well-being and toiletry needs of the support.

Last season we did not manage to win 4 consecutive matches at any point over the 38 League matches. We amassed an average total of 80 points.
This season we have a weaker squad whilst the division is stronger. Mibbery seems to be as bad as ever. Based on our current form and style of play, it is hard to foresee when we will put a run of victories together. We don’t have our problems to seek.
As it stands it looks like we are heading for something around 80 points again, where that will leave us I don’t know, but I fear it is going to
be a difficult campaign.

On current performance,80 points isn’t an embarrassment,it’s unlikely.
It has been done to death by the support but I think everyone at Celtic Park need to heed it: NO MORE OF THE PASSING SIDEWAYS AND BACKWARDS to retain possession. It is simply boring and doesn’t achieve anything, as the opposition simply let us do it.
Imo, the only one who carried any threat last night was James Forrest. Yet too often he seemed to feel he had to pass it back too. Only Benkovic tried to vary it. Maybe he hasn’t been there long enough to be discouraged.
Way past time for Plan B but we have to have one; otherwise there are going to be plenty more games like last night’s.
Was that a plastic pitch last night? I thought it was as the ball took odd bounces much of the game. Such a pitch is not conducive to the close control of the liked of Rogic.
Show some adventure, play to the strengths of our vastly superior players.
No need to worry too much about losing possession, just get it back-we have the players for that.

We had six 0-0 each draws last season and two already this season an obvious pattern is emerging that teams know how to frustrate Celtic,We have to mix it up, pass back, pass sideways is not working,Teams of free transfers and loans are finding it too easy against us.It is a cop out to blame the referee as bad he was he did not cost us the game.We barely worked their goalkeeper or defence last night.Did we really need 3 central defenders .The style of play surely has to change or its going to be a long hard season.

When I was so much younger than now and playing competitive football twice a week the only time I lost possession was when my boot hit the ball and the ball ended up in the opposition net for a goal. Or I had a brilliant header from a cross or corner.

I’m getting a tad concerned about the upcoming Europa League games. Salzburg are top of the Austrian Bundesliga, played 7, won 7, with 21 points and 18 goals scored. We can’t punch our way out of a wet paper bag. With the notable exception of the Sevco game, the paucity of shots on target is lamentable. Most opposition keepers are spectators, under no threat whatsoever.
Unless we improve remarkably quickly, I can’t see us getting any points from either Salzburg or Leipzig on our present form.
