Absolutely stunning tales of endeavour from those who climbed the tallest peak on these isles yesterday for the Ben Nevis Huddle to raise funds for Celtic FC Foundation. The Foundation anchors our club to its founding principles, working locally and worldwide towards four goals:
Improve Health
Promote Equality
Encourage Learning
Tackle Poverty
It survives because lots of ordinary Celtic fans step forward, or put their hands in their pockets, because they believe Celtic is a lofty and noble cause.
If you’ve not been able to support any of the climbers direct, inspiration for the event is primarily the responsibility of Mark Cameron, you can find his Foundation linked MyDonate page here.
If you’re in business check out The Celtic Network’s new Service Finder’s opportunity to market to Celtic fans.
Visit the CQN Bookstore to get Tommy Gemmell to sign your personal copy of his book, All the Best.

So Sami is heading home, wherever home might be. Greece disappointed me in extra time, not making the man advantage tell.
Tonight’s two games should be more straightforward victories for Germany and France, but who knows?
ACGR
Deleted it knew it wasn’t from you. You normally address me as: ya ol’ bassa!
:-)
jungle jim,
Think yourself fortunate, I arranged my trip back to Scotland from Oz to allow me to get to the first game of the new season, checked the fixtures on the 18th and saw postponed, I got in touch with John Paul Taylor who got back to me right away, said that it was because of the Commonwealth Games and that it had been on the website for some months. I get emails from Celtic every other day and I can’t recall ever seeing it mentioned that Flag Day would not be on the opening day of the season. Mightily pissed off!

I have a single room booked at the Victoria in Kirkaldy for Saturday night but i am going to cancel it as i need to get back earlier than planned.
I will cancel it this evening when i get home.
If anyone had been looking to book a room then 1 will become available later.

I do think myself fortunate…..I am a Celtic Supporter 0:-)
I hope you are home long enough to see at least one game at Paradise. I think Dundee United is our first Home fixture.
Cheerio for now.

Until we meet again…

Hail Hail!
And lennybhoy ruins it for those of us waiting till 11:27 to say ‘naw’ to BSR!
Quiet today….posting from a sunny Montemar…around 35 degrees…found the Greece game very boring last night.
Has the World Cup run out of steam with teams a bit more cagey now that one bad game and they are going home.
I hope Ronny and Johnny keep Tony and help make him a first team regular along with Leigh.
Kikinthenakas
One of the slowest days on here for a long time.
What’s wrong with you people?
Let’s be havin’ you, as old Delia – as opposed to Ronny Deila – might say!
HH!!
TALLYBHOY
Did you get my mail about the Ayrshire Tims dayooooot on the glorious twelfth?
Looks like a fun day in the offing…
Apparently Samaras was injured towards the end of last nights game and was excluded from the five penalty takers.

bournesouprecipe,
I had assumed Sami would be the fifth Greek taker.
Afternoon from a sweltering,42 degrees Turkey. And they are telling us to take care, there is a heatwave coming !!!!!!!WTF.
According to reports we are about to sign another guy from Portugal.A 20 year old right winger.H,mm.Not renewing his contract with Benfica.H,mmm.
Anyway,off into the pool,for about 4 hours,I think.
Robben admits to diving.
Increible.
Charlie Mulgrew attempts to nutmeg Ronny Deila
Gordon_J
Yes, me too even though I saw him limping and they’re saying he was omitted, unconfirmed though.
Mind you, Sami did seem to play very deep in extra time, which I thought was odd when they were pressing so much. But you just get used to him not doing what you expect.

Regarding our wee discovery yesterday,… went to see my ma, she told me some of the family history….Buncrana indeed.
But I was wondering….does the name Mitten mean anything to you?
HH
Buncrana ……Mitten…..Bernarae St (sp) Milton ?
I assumed Nutmeg was a recently created bit of slang for a bite on the shoulder as it is quite obvious that Ol` Omar has just done a Suarez on Julie.
JJ
She may be in her 70s but wee Julie Christie still looks pretty good.
She looks younger than Arjen Robben!
HH!!
