I see a justification for yesterday’s vote has been issued. The chairman of one club spoke to several of my contacts in the media with a completely different version, using both the F word and the C word.
Apparently he believes several SPL clubs are being led by the C word – Celtic. Or to be more precise, “F***ing Celtic”, a name reserved for use by a specific demographic. All off the record, of course, but incredibly indiscrete, betraying his world view.
If that’s how you feel, man up and say so publicly. Tell us who you think is really bringing Scottish football to its knees, I am sure everyone will agree this is a time for frankness.

Maybe we ought to remind Mr Gilmour that in the whole of the land there is no team so Grand as a name that stands alone.
Read the St Mirren statement and I have to say I don’t believe it.
It seems most Clubs thought there was a consesus RC excepted.
When the vote for reconstruction failed Clubs could come out with a succint and bold statement as why this reconstruction at this time was necessary, why they were disappionted by it’s failure and what they were doing to take their Clubs forward with the status quo, including Spartans may I add.
St Mirren the instigator of the debacle on the other hand took over 24hrs to come up with a nuanced and pedantic statement lacking material substance.
But the thing that gives Mr Gilmour’s agenda away is not his knit picking objectives to the reconstruction, it is his way forward.
All 42 Clubs to get round the table as soon as possible to agree a one organisation reconstruction.
Why the urgency Mr Gilmore?
Years of debate, negotiation and concessions among the 12 SPL clubs have been scuppered by one Clubs knit picking, yet St Mirren’s solution is to get ALL 42 Clubs round the table to agree to a single organisation reconstructing and running Scotland’s top Leagues post haste.

Re SG, I don’t care about his reasons, the fact is he agreed with the proposal at previous meetings then chose to scupper it at the last minute.

Also advised I would lobby for their removal from the SPL for damaging the SPL brand.
The sooner Gilmour is out of Scottish football the better for everyone
