Thomson is a game changer. Never has a UK journalist had so many people wanting him to stop asking questions, including many in his own industry. Fortunately he appears to be some kind of Geordie-hostility-feeder.

Just for clarification, when I said I was steering the conversation back to football this was in relation to the numerous ‘independence’ posts and nothing to do with Miki67’s which I hadn’t seen before posting.

Coming from a long line of Labour supporters yet having very little faith in the current leadership I would think Labour are still a long way from being electable in the next election
However I always believe that I have far more in common with a working class person in Liverpool,Birmingham,London etc than a Tory from the Highlands who now votes LibDem or SNP
An independent Scotland would not be a good place to be a Catholic
