I’ve not seen enough of Kolo Toure or Shane Duffy to have a view on their appropriateness for Celtic but I’m very pleased that despite the headcount of central defenders, Brendan Rodgers appears to be aware that he’s only got one he can rely on. We cannot afford to have another season of set-piece trauma in Europe.
Aston Villa’s Scott Sinclair has the makings of a more profound signing for Brendan, especially if he arrives for anything close to Villa’s asking price. Ronny Deila foundered in a sea of wide midfielders who were unable to command a starting place for any duration. We are the club where wide players come to damage their career prospects. Most of those who have ‘walked through Parkhead gates’ in this time had done so on a sale-or-return basis; at circa £6m Scott Sinclair would need to be right.

Leo bowed out with a couple of runners-up medals two days after his 29th birthday. He could easily compete in another two World Cups, if he had the appetite.

That was predictable, when the result happened they asked how I knew, had told them all day it was a difficult tie, easy answer was you couldn’t see that result, neither could your players! They expected to win, so didn’t make every effort to.

So matts nilloc or whoever gets a bit of information the other night that leads him to believe that Brendan Rodgers might not even be here when Celtic play their first European qualifier and the usual suspects are right on his case because we all know that Celtic always cross the T’s and dot the i’s on every contract offered. The same guy is shot down because he won’t name his source that gave him the information. Now we find out that Brendan Rodgers may be a favourite to take over the England job. Would it it come as a major shock to some of you that maybe just maybe that Mr Rodgers may have certain get out clauses in his contract if they were to be exercised he would be allowed to walk away ,one being to manage a national team. As it is the usual suspects are very fond of protecting their sources on everything resolution 12 and go all secret squirrel when challenged .
I remember when first joining this site well over six years ago all the talk was about a secret dossier held in the bowels of Celtic Park that was going to be revealed and would prove inconclusively of how we have been victimised and cheated from our inception. Well I am still waiting and will probably be still waiting for a conclusion to yer resolution 12 six years hence

My neighbour has recovered from the fright she got when Iceland scored their second goal.
It’s a good job she wasn’t up a ladder at the time.
The birds have settled back into their trees.
The deer have all returned and are grazing peacefully on the local lawns.
