Not suggesting he is / was the answer, but I do think if he had played in game vs Inverness when we lost 3:2 (?), we would have won league that season.

I remember being on it either the week before or after the huns beat us 5-1 at Ibrox in ’89. I think Gallagher scored and we lost 1-0, I sprained ligaments in my ankle when the crowd surged forward and it ruined my chances of ever playing in the hoops forever :-)
