Absolutely delighted at the arrival of Dutch under-21 international central defender, Virgil van Dijk, on a four year deal. A central defender was one of three priorities for this summer and we have secured our first choice target.
The signing will also give a boost to the squad, and a timely reminder to all that amidst talk of player potentially leaving ‘at the right price’, the Celtic Story is one of progress.
Celtic had the tallest team in the Champions League last season. They were also top scorers from headed goals in the competition until Bayern Munich caught them in the semi-finals. With the addition of two 6’4” players (van Dijk and Balde) we look to be consolidating our strengths.

Good stuff Canamalar, I don’t think the board get the Celtic support feelings, it could be a disaster if they don’t understand our disgust at the corruption of Scottish football and considering the cost to my/ our club, the apparent lying down to the strength of the hun is very fabric of the Scottish nation.

We can meet only in play offs, if both teams go through rounds before. If that happens, it’s 20 percent chances we will meet.
When I read Legia forums, I see that Celtic is the last team Legia supporters want to meet. The majority thinks it’s the strongest seaded team in play offs. Second last is Basel FC.

the removal of Gershon, Miku, Nouioui, McCourt and Rogne will have saved celtic a combined wage of 40k a week. the two new signing will be on about 30k. hopefully quality over quantity as we go forward, which will open up the way to our academy bhoys as well.
have lots of time for Wanyama and Hooper but I am a celtic supporter first and last, players come and go. anything over 16 million for both and its bye bye and thanks for everything. celtic could transform match and non-match day experience for the better within and around celtic park with that type of money.
if both go we will hopefully add another couple of players i.e. striker and a creative midfielder with the wages saved.
