We’ve seen more of these games than Brendan

Thus far results haven’t mattered, but if his players walk into the dressing room at halftime tomorrow without being in the lead, you can believe there will be an edge in the team- talk. You and I have probably seen more of these kind of games than Brendan. They are seldom straightforward and while the manager plays with pretty much the hand he inherited, I don’t expect a remarkable change in outcomes.

Assuming results go to plan, we’ll have six Champions League qualifiers in the next seven weeks. That’s a lot of football, hopefully most of it will be played with the benefit of one or two more arrivals.

Too many laughs I’m afraid. I don’t think I would trade them in tho. Even if I could have done better. C’est la vie.

  13. My old latin teacher Wee Gall (Requiescat in pace) would be proud to know I remembered one of his endless reams of quotes he taught ‘Ad infinitum’.

He greeted us every morning with ‘Coats, scarves, blankets, Koala bear outfits……………. off “

Then he’d to clip you round the ear enunciating the legend ‘You will never make a latin scholar boy, Lacta alea est!’

Oh well no ‘Magna cum laude’ for me on the ole latin then.

Agree with you about the coverage of Cliff Richard and possibly many other things over the years.’

As I understand it the CPS decided there was insufficient evidence to proceed with any of the eight separate allegations against him, and that a number of the allegations only surfaced after, and I assume, as a result of the coverage of, the police raid.

I daresay most people can work out for themselves why the police did what they did, and can understand why the BBC (which at the time was of course being assailed by the usual subjects for having covered up child abuse by Saville, Hall, Harris etc) went along with it.

Obviously, as it turns our, Sir Cliff Richard is entirely innocent and everyone wishes him well in his retirement in Barbados, where he recently obtained citizenship.

It dawns on you how Americanised we’ve become when I just popped waffles in the toaster for the eldest ghirls breakfast. What’s wrong with cereal or a fry?
