Fixtures are out and the management team are in-situ at Bobbylennoxtown; the air of anticipation for a new chapter in a 126-year-old story lies heavy over Celtic supporters. I wish we were starting tomorrow.
If you are a Celtic player, what would your overbearing sentiment be today? If it was me, looking at photos of those two white-shirted fitness freaks at the Training Centre today, I’d be tempted to get out for a run, before the real business starts next week.
There are only a few things a manager can do in his first few days in charge of a new squad but setting standards for fitness and training are two clear examples. Monitoring is not just about stepping on the scales anymore, the players will have their body fat, glycogen levels and heart beats documented from when they get back and throughout the season thereafter. With benchmarks for all, as well as performances. I’m feeling tired even thinking about it.

And anuffer fing! You are going to have to get a diff colour of bib. My eyes don’t differentiate between Green and Yellow well. Colour blindness. Stop me from joining the RAF and bombing IRAQI’s, AFGHAN’s etc. so not all bad eh?

Stfu Gary I dont need cheering up after another defeat in fact I am very happy this evening :)
Just saw interview on STV with SIR Tom Devine. Always liked him but so
disappointed he took the Knighthood.
Anyway he told a nice wee story on
Sectarianism within the jail. When (olden days) the tic played the huns supporters of both teams would dress up in their colours and regardless of the result their was never ever any trouble. Whatever team lost their fans would go back to their cells no problem.
So he knew about this (phenomenon) and asked why this was on a visit. A big heavy guy stood up and said, ‘ this was a non alcoholic prison. Absolutely superb response and answer.
Jobo
Have you got Greece?
CRC:
Sent you an email so you can take me off your list…:)
Keep the Faith!
Hail Hail!
Green is my colour. Pleases my eyes.
A non alcoholic prison jeez
CRC – Good on the wee yin :-)
HT has been extremely complimentary on my predictive skills … really encouraging and supportive ……nothing like losing at the 5s at all :-)
Oh, good! Highlights from an earlier game!
Now now it’s highlights with the wonderful Phil Neville
#gutted
It was surprisingly good play by the linesman to spot Gerrard heading that ball back rather than the Uruguay player (Homer has ruined me trying to spell Urugay)
:-)
Every time I see the 2nd goal it gets more appalling. There is no way that goal would be lost by any other team. Punt down the park !
Billy Bhoy, Barcelona, Tony Watt!
I know you are hinting at that.
Or hope so.
Sorry, Billy Bhoy 05.
Aaaaaaaaaah,England.
You deserve better.
Sammy shouldve scored that :o)

Sorry, Billy Bhoy 05.
Please explain as I have missed something
At kick off Samaras sees goalie is off his line and almost scores from the half way line.
What a goal that would have been
No wonder this game is so slow with Endo on the pitch

See the Greeks.. .Chile they are not.
What are they saving themselves for ?
Lazy bassas…
Watch the second goal tonight, then watch Tony Watts goal v Barca in the 2-1 game, they are very similar. Very.
The_Huddle, Sebo moment from the Greek Ghod.

Good point. Clear on replay, but not so much in real time. And great anticipation from LS.

They English got what they deserve.
Nothing! Hahahaha.
Kagawa has gone from one of the best players in Germany to the bench against Greece

Why did you run so slow at Ascot today? ;))
EPL, best League in the World, not in my opinion, but…..
What percentage of English players play in that league to make them possible World Cup Winners?
Ref is getting a bit weird
Doc
At start of last season, just over 33%.
How many English players play in other top leagues to make them think they can win the World Cup?
You could have 100% English players in the league, won’t make them world champions.
You need 5 or 6 excellent players in a generation and the rest to be decent.
some meaty tackles from the Greeks thought you’d hardly think they were down a man
The_Huddle, but with increased % chance do increase.
More players from a country playing top level football must mean a better international team.
More players to pick from, more chance of a balanced team.
4-6 great individuals may be a poor team if they play as individuals.
Some signs Sammi and co are starting to tire.
England played Ricky Lambert tonight, 100 more Rickys isn’t going to make you more likely win a world cup.
England produce some very good players, they produce 100s of average players. I’d be surprised if by playing more of them in the top league would move them from the average pile to the very good pile.
