‘No one said it was easy.’ How true. When I heard the Celtic line-up I responded, “Would take a 1-0 right now”. No strikers and a new central defensive pairing is not the way to start an important game.
A couple of years ago, you would have an ominous feeling right now, but with Brendan, there’s a belief that we will be prepared in Trondheim. We need to put the ball in the net. Even if we concede first, subsequently putting the ball in the net resolves a lot of issues.
My expectation is that we saw the best of Rosenborg last night. Celtic were clearly well below their best. When the teams meet again Celtic will be one week fitter, and I expect personnel changes.
For so long we missed the kind of football that knots your stomach. This one is hugely important. Enjoy the tension!

Full redemption awaits when you fire up Leo Sayer.

16 roads – Celtic über alles… on 27th July 2017 6:38 pm
Football is now one of the worst and most boring sports in the world.
Over 2.5 goals?
Lucky if there’s over 2.5 shots in a game.
Sh@ite.
HH.
====================
Hmmm…it doesn’t hand out ‘scores’ like smarties, therefore it must be crap! Maybe its your attention span thats waning. Incidentally what other sports are there where ~150 years after its invention it is still possible to see new skills being developed we’ve never seen before? Cruyff to Ronaldinho to Zidane to Messi to Mbappe… the beautiful game.
So many different ways to score a goal.
You should stick to basketball. Lots of high scoring and big numbers to keep you impressed.

Is today when the Kit Man, the Peelers blocking the stairs and the supporters with the ‘Illicit Banner hear what the damage is?
Thursday 20 July 2017 16.21CET
Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg match between Celtic FC and Linfield FC (4-0), played on 19 July in Scotland.
Charges against Celtic FC:
• Illicit banner – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations
• Kit infringement – Art. 62 (3) of UEFA Kit Regulations
• Stairways blocked – Art. 38 of UEFA Safety & Security Regulations
This case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on 28 July 2017.
Linfield’s charges in respect of the behaviour of their supporters are obviously pending.
Vardar FK look to have a heavier Charge Sheet today.

This style of blogging is going to make the golf look interesting
A horse racing tale that mimics the Rangers/Sevco story
……..I take it when Paulo returns from his holidays the Faux Fox will be ceremonially docked?
HHH.
As we all know, Friday is the prime day for delivering bad news.
And we await Celtic’s statement…
:)
Or will the only statement be about the UEFA disciplinary matters…
The relentless, monotonous repetition devoid of Celtic humour, diversity, self-awareness or humanity is probably a klue……….
Olga Guerin…a proper journalist – fearless!
Scottish journalists – fearties!
Something to make you laugh while you wait for a statement…

Ah, memories of the great Barney Curley.
CQN golfers; have a great day and night and watch out for those bandits, and I don’t mean BT and OT :-)
Off to Ripon for a few days and a planned trip to York races tomorrow and a catch up with Pog. Any racing tips gratefully received.

If my point was made previously – then my apologies
Our performance on Wednesday has been assessed and it seems no Mousa or Leigh is the issue
But there has been no mention of our new pitch !! did it have an influence ?
Im not saying negatively its possibly just different !! are the player getting accustomed ?
Was it a factor ?
Anyway I have every faith that we will win next week

I’m sure we will be hearing something soon. I’m in no rush if it means Celtic are also seeking ” legal advice from the finest legal brains” ala Topping.
It’d be remiss by Celtic not to test the validity of the statement released by the SFA suggesting any challenge had no possible chance of success.
BRTH has already intimated there are glaring errors in that statement, and stated he ( and Auldheid I think) had already written to Celtic with their opinion.
I’m sure we will be hearing something soon. As I say, today, tomorrow or next week, I can wait. After all we’ve waited since Fergus last put them to the sword based on a solid legal case, we can wait a bit longer.
Incidentally, the only reason Celtic may release a statement that they cannot pursue this would be that the decision was based on legal advice. Given what BRTH has opined, I think that’s unlikely.
CRC…………….enjoy yer puntin’……but if there’s anything worse than The Gowf, it’s
harse racin’…………..

Endless posts of other peoples taste in music.Sorry, not for me.Fill your boots if thats your thing.
The Moonhowlers are really,a different breed.

If ripon races are on it’s worth a visit. Englands ” garden racecourse ” . Nice track. I’m going in a few weeks. I’m also at Cartmel for the Saturday and Monday meetings in August. Booked a lodge for the week. Bit of hill running in between…….
I remember when you could scroll back to have a laugh at the overnight moonhowlers…nowadays? Forget it…
Bankiebhoy
I was at Birkdale last week for the open. Don’t think you’d appreciate my use of holidays :-)
twists n turns
I take your point, however my contention is that, just like the SPFL board, PL has known about the “legal advice” for weeks. How much more time is rquired for Celtic to say “We disagree with the SPFL board’s assessment and believe that an independent review of Scottish football, including all governance issues, is requried”?
On this issue, and on a vast number of issues (more than I care to remember), the Celtic board have been damned by their silence. It is totally exasperating.
Did Nimmo Smith not mention,in his summing up,that the Huns behaviour was “One step away from match fixing”I am sure he did.Seems to have been forgotten.
And don’t get me wrong, I want the Celtic board to be heroes here, I really do! I’d love for them to come charging in to the rescue. But we have been waiting quite a while…
Turkeybhoy
I think that was SFA’s own disciplinary panel – the one that gave them a transfer ban that didn’t actually affect them.
Did Nimmo Smith not also say,on the same subject, that the 250,000 quid fine was the most he could impose, for some reason, but he thought that this was not enough for their Hunnish behaviour.
Last bit mine.
